I've seen a bunch of D44s and a few D45s but not one D46. They do indeed look like Craftsmans I've seen. My concern is the screw diameter which is larger than 5/8', That seems to be the diameter of the D44 and Craftsman. I live in CA so Ohio won't work. So far I'm into the vise for $1.00 hence...

I hope this might help. The vise is about 15" front to back and about 6 1/2" tall. As well as the main nut missing, it looks as though there should be a bolt to secure the main nut to the carriage- missing also. Thanks for the effort. You can probably tell I'm a novice at this.

Actually I reversed the model # it's a Columbian D46 and the screw in not exposed. I'll attempt to figure how to post a picture. My caliper read .870 for the screw diameter but I'm wondering if that might be a nominal 7/8". Any way, thanks for the reply. It would be great to get this old war...

Hello guys, Found a Colombian 46D at the yard sale but the main screw is missing. Any suggestions about a replacement? Thanks, Rick
