    We pay .975 per kwh. Costs 300-500 a month keeping it at 17c. That is when it is -20 outside.

    I leave it at one temp. Run pump 24/7 so when boiler goes off it still circulates and pulls out remaining heat.

    Thanks for the info. That is very helpful. I actually have two overhead doors. One 8x12 and one 8x8.

    It's rockwool and I am pretty happy with how it holds heat. Once it reaches set temp is takes about 8-10 hours to drop 1.5c when it is -20c outside. I think that's not bad but then again i am not an expert.

    I have temp on ecobee set to 16c for now to figure out what run times would look like. Pump is set to circulate 24/7. Boiler is controlled by ecobee. Temp differential is set to .6

    Pipe size is 5/8. Total of six loops.

    Here is a picture of the slab. 2 inch insulation under slab with vapor barrier as well. Edges are insulated.

    I hired a builder to build my shop. 30x40 (1200Sqft) with a slanted roof. 14ft height on one side, 18ft on the other. He installed the boiler and I was looking at the inlet piping and was wondering if the multiple 90 degree angles and smaller pipe size would cause a significant restriction...
