Used a Smithy Midas around the house for years. Very handy but it had it limitations. Upgraded this week to a Smithy Granite 1340 I-Max off of eBay half price of a new one. There are great deals out there with patience. If your a hobbiest these machines will more than suffice.
1800 lb. "wood" crate was not what I expected on a semi trailer. Thought it would be on a low profile metal rack. Anyway, notice the bent leg of cherry picker after load shifted a foot off the ground.
Bought the Eagle Equipment Mobileman lift a couple of weeks ago. Couldn't be happier with lifts performance and maneuverability due to the pallet jack lift feature. Very easy to move around shop. i will have to admit a bit of a challenge unloading large crate from 18 wheeler with a cherry...
Tremelune, wondered if you ever pulled the trigger on this lift? I'm giving it serious thought considering the cost vs lift height advantage. Scissors that go this high are $1,000 plus more and 2 post are not a good application for my garage. Still looking at owner feedback to give a nod.
New to this forum and thought I would give a heads up about BP MDS-6k. After many delays BP has elected to retool based on unknown issues and will probably be unavailable for many months to come. I'm looking for an alternative to their mid rise lift if anyone has any suggestions.
