how to verify driveway replacement dimensions?

Nobody or company is going to wait 60 days for final payment. The final payment is due before they leave on the last day, if not before.

The MOST efficient use of space!

Cute, but it's like working inside your toolbox. I've worked in some small shops, not that small, and it's a exercise in neatness and constant cleaning and putting things away and becomes no fun very fast. Works if you're a small box builder, but as soon as the need to build something large...

    Brick garage

So I'm moving to a new house, new for me. There is no HOA, but they do have a few Covenants and Restrictions. One being that any detached garage must be of brick construction to match the house. Now I know this is an absolute stupid question, but what can I expect to pay for a 24x24 slab and...

    Concrete Driveway

OK, my guess before I called anyone was about $6000 to $9000. I was a stair carpenter my whole life and I hate to waste peoples time with getting a ton of estimates so I wanted to see if I was off base. I had one guy come over, his price; $9000 to demo and haul. $8000 for concrete and labor...

    Concrete Driveway

So I need a new driveway. About 1500 sq feet. I need the old one demo'ed and a new one installed. Looking if anyone has any idea at how much something like that will cost? Do I need mesh installed also? Thanks Concord, NC

    Reminder about working Safely

I've worked alone most of my life. I was a stair builder and rail installer. People that do this work are usually the type of person that must do everything themselves so most of us work alone. I fell off a balcony head first, hit my head on my chopsaw, knocked my self out and broke my wrist...

14x14 Garden Shed/ Outbuilding Build in NW Ohio

Scrape the idea of 24" on center. 16" oc means 4 more 2x6s and a lot more strength for your floor.

    Raising the ceiling

Re: Raisint the ceiling I think you would be better off installing rafters and then cutting out the trusses. Only you can tell if the rafters can be installed without removing the roof.

    Getting floor oil stain out

Pour lacquer thinner on it and then shake a generous amount of baby powder on it. The thinner will draw it to the surface and the baby powder will soak it up. It may take a couple of applications, but it is effective.

    Tricks to separate buckets

No insult taken. I just don't know anybody that works at fast food places or I would be getting them there also. I work construction and used to get spackle buckets. But they are a pain to clean out. Now that I moved south, they don't get the mud in buckets anymore. It comes in plastic bags...

Lowes two story shed display sale????

I know some of the Amish shed builders use large hinges to fold the walls into reasonable size pieces.

First timer build thread: modern workshop / shed

So glad to see you are working from plans. Very smart. Too many people think they know how to build a shed and when they are finished it is apparent they didn't.
