help me pick out some wera

Chad's Toolbox is another place to check for prices on either Wera or Wiha. I have read some negative comments about them on this board, but I dealt with them a couple months ago and was very happy with the experience. Maybe they're inconsistent or maybe they're getting better

    17mm, 3/4" drive chrome socket

I have a '97 A4 that definitely does not have left hand thread lug nuts (bolts actually in my case).

Help with diamondlife custom pegboard measurements

I'm pretty sure I did it correctly (not least because I actually did do it wrong the first time and had to edit my post), but I can see being concerned about getting the numbers right for your garage. Here's my reasoning which you can look at to see if you find any flaws: If the holes are 1"...

Help with diamondlife custom pegboard measurements

While I definitely agree with calling them, it does make sense to independently figure out what you want to try to minimize mistakes (which is what it sounds like you're trying to do). If it were me, I would also go with a 21" height (and therefore 21 holes) and just leave a 1/4" gap at the top...

    Dirty Business?

That's exactly it, you'll often see sellers bundle a Snap On socket with a no-name ratchet so they can list a "Snap On Socket and Ratchet" to hoodwink the unwary while still not running afoul of ebay's rules about false listings if they get reported. As Hiball said, it's dirty, but what can you do?

    Snap On 100 tooth ratchets?

The degrees of rotation needed to take up the slop and the degrees of rotation needed to engage the next tooth are additive. So if you have 4 degrees of slop (which is about what your example indicates) and a 36 tooth ratchet, then you need 14 degrees or movement to be able to work. If you...

20% off coupon for HF this weekend...

They don't make it as easy as they could, it took me a while to figure it out too. Go to www.harborfreightUSA.com (not regular harborfreight.com). Near the top right of the window, click on a black box that says "Sign up now for discounts, coupons & specials!" Since you say you get adds in...

    Lawn sweepers

I agree with this. I worked for a landscaper for a few years when I was younger and as longs as things were fairly dry, everything would be bagged up just fine. If you have wet leaves and don't want to wait for them to dry out, then I think the best thing to do would be to just rake them by...

    $30 Gearwrench 7pc Flex-Head Ratcheting Wrench Sets!!

I wasn't able to buy these using the website. It said they were not available for shipping, and then wouldn't process an in-store pickup either. I had to order over the phone, which was a hassle and I didn't get to use the $5 coupon Stuey posted on his site, but it's still a heck of a deal...

    Snap-On 6pt Combo Wrench Set: 13pcs...5/16" - 1"

Those don't have Flak Drive Plus on the open ends do they? I think I could tell that they were smooth from the picture, but it was a little hard to tell.

Torque screw driver & flexible drive: will affect tighting torque?

I'm not so sure. When you expell energy to deflect the spring, doesn't that energy stored in the spring also exert a force on the fastener that contributes to the total torque that the fastener 'experiences'? My physics is pretty rusty so I may not have all the terminology down, but I think...

    Msc promo 9/15

On 9/8 I got a notice that mentioned up to 40% off Metalworking tools with a certain promo code so I went looking for a good pair of calipers to replace my cheapies (measuring instruments were specifically mentioned as being included in the promo). I put just about every one of the less...
