I learned o&a welding from vo-ag teacher named John Minor in early 70's. Gas weld no filler, break it apart, do it again. When you had it right, you went to filler. all the way to heli-arc. After you know what puddle is supposed to look like, you can weld most any thing.

A few years back a county musuem moved a barn a lot bigger than your's in Thomas Co. Ks. (flat land USA) to use as part of their displays. Have you talked to any local, not so local musuems? Hobby Lobby uses lots of used wood for picture frames and bric-a-brac,looks like an opportunity for you...

What about a wood burning furnace? That's what I have in my shop,and it works great. I burn shop scrap and pallets,it's easy to clean up after,has a sealed firebox, and a blower that moves air. Northern sells them.

Foil faced ureathane foam board is light, easy to cut and fit, good insulation value, looks o.k.(imho),reflect light well. There you go,problem solved. You may want to foil tape joints (no dry wall).
