I've got that Eastwood Tig and I love it. I got one at their scratch and dent sale for about $475 after taxes and it still came with a 1 year warranty. No regrets and I've welded some 1/4" stainless and 1/8" alum with it.
I have the same Redmax 8500. Just wore it for 6+ hours straight last weekend. It felt fine to me and I am by no means in shape right now.
Have you looked into something you can roll like the little wonder?
I have the cheap $34 HF autodarkening helmet and I just go the Vulcan helmet from HF.
The vulcan is a great helmet, I really like it. I can see everything perfectly.
I bought an 80 of Argon for my Tig welder from my LWS. I was hesitant to go bigger but he said if I do decide to go bigger, I just pay the difference and he'll swap me out with a larger tank. I thought that was as fair as it could be.
I'd look around for someone to offer a similar deal. And for...
I'm over in Jackson NJ. I did buy a nice 7/8" cobalt drill bit for this job. I did a pilot hole with just a plain black oxide bit and it cut through the stainless like butter.
Yes I already had the material.
Something broke inside the spindle. The pulley up top moves, the chuck does not. And honestly, the spindle was so far out of true by the end, I'm not looking to fix it.
So I bought the 13" bench top drill press from HF. It worked pretty well for the first 5 or so holes I drilled, then by hole #10 the spindle was really out of true, by hole #15 of 16 holes it broke and the spindle turned but the bit would not.
I'd love to go out and buy a real nice drill...
