    Got images of the US hammer similar to mine. Have put arrows showing: Block has been added to anvil area (RED), Missing shaft hole for the L-shaped link used to activate the yoke for the taper clutch (GREEN), Additional disk/wheel used as a brake system, not part of original hammer (BLUE)

    Thanks for your input. Most of the time it's suggested to be either a D&E or a Fairbanks. One of the main differences is that on most of the closest hammers, the anvil column is bolted to the spine. I have some other pics of the one in the US (I think). Will edit them and post later to show...
