Previous owner's marks and tool value

I don't like the looks of them, I wonder what in the hell people were thinking when they did it, and I wonder about how to go about "healing" them somehow, maybe sandblasting a stenciled logo over them or even a geometric shape or pattern. That being said since my Wright 3/4" drive socket set...

Need help identifying tool company that is embossed on these ball-peen hammers.

Who made tools marked with a diamond with light rays coming off of it? Since diamonds are used on tools my google-fu is stymied and alloy artifacts doesn't have it in its listing. I figure they're made in USA since they're marked in lbs (1.5 & 2lbs) trying to verify and learn about what I've...

Who was the original MFG of this Husky tool box?

What time was that? Are these 90s boxes or 00s boxes?

Who was the original MFG of this Husky tool box?

Been shopping for a toolbox set for my garage, my Harbor Freight 5 drawer cart is overflowing, & my 4x8 pegboard is out of real estate. Been shopping and applying patience, even made it through black friday without pulling the trigger. When I close my eyes I see toolboxes, Ive been looking at...

    Are these the same tool?

I have five 3/8" drive ratchets already, My diamond logo S-K roundhead, that ihateminimumwage hates is my go-to 3/8 ratchet. I love that thing, can't complaing about it at all, its RLL'd and works perfectly. I'm trying to put together some 1/4" drive toolery, but since I don't NEED it right...

    Are these the same tool?

DANGIT, why do tool makes and origins have to be so complex? This is the first I'd heard that was two USA kobalt manufacturers, So they went from nice , to cheaper, to cheap. The search continues.

    Are these the same tool?

Are williams-made tools of "industrial tool" quality like proto? or more like a craftsman usa tool as well?: http://www.ebay.com/itm/Kobalt-1-4-in-20-piece-SAE-Metric-Socket-Ratchet-Set-Made-in-USA/263253670527?ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT&_trksid=p2060353.m1438.l2649 S-K seems to exists in...

    Are these the same tool?

Well that's disappointing, I thought Armstrong brand was supposed to be a cut above, at least on par with "Industrial" tool line offerings, not exact same as Sears home garage tools.

    Are these the same tool?

Was wondering if I'm getting perhaps a different internal kit with the bargain brand vs armstrong, and thinking I could just get an armstrong kit for it, to bolster that up if need be in the future.

Your thoughts on using just 1/4" and 1/2" drive tools Abandon 3/8" drive?

Re: Your thoughts on using just 1/4" and 1/2" drive tools Abandon 3/8" drive? Yeah my 1/4" stock is so lacking, and I just went through my hex drive stuff, and I have tons of it, so my instinct for "smaller than 3/8" stuff is "get the drill set" not "get the 1/4" drive. As far as bigger than...

Your thoughts on using just 1/4" and 1/2" drive tools Abandon 3/8" drive?

Re: Your thoughts on using just 1/4" and 1/2" drive tools Abandon 3/8" drive? As often as not when I need something small like quarter inch drive I'll reach for the hex ratcheting screwdrivers and bit drivers rather than using the quarter inch drive set, I have some good long hex extensions...

Your thoughts on using just 1/4" and 1/2" drive tools Abandon 3/8" drive?

Re: Your thoughts on using just 1/4" and 1/2" drive tools Abandon 3/8" drive? Inherited some KAL USA, ES Tools and Herbrand Air-Force surplus tools from my father in law, fantastic stuff. Always bummed that its all in SAE, and all it seems I ever work on is metric things so I hardly ever...

Re: Your thoughts on using just 1/4" and 1/2" drive tools Abandon 3/8" drive? Sorry if you hate ancient thread resurrection, flame me out, I'm sorry this is what I was UTFS for today and actually found a discussion about it: Just got done doing an engine swap, and found that with rusted...
