    tamper proof Torx Plus

I think the one and only time I've ran into a tamper proof torx plus was on a newer mercedez-benz mirror.. Nobody in the shop had any idea what kind of screw it was at first.

    Most Used Socket

For me it'd probably be 7, 8, and 10. 10 is definitely most used of those 3 though (And you can tell, looking at my sockets)

Absorbant oil Spill Mat for Outdoors?

PIG has an entire line of "oil-only" mats that repel water, absorb oil. Here they are on their website: http://goo.gl/iRFsD

Snap-On Quality Control On Diagonal Pliers...The Hell?

That's a quote from a Snap-On plier flier. As it has been said, they're deigned that way. Source: http://www.snapon.com/industrial/flyers/Marchpliersv5_rev.pdf

    BluePoint = Taiwan?

Blue-point hammers are still made in USA, and I've seen some pliers made in France (looked similar to Knipex Cobras).

Who sells a high quality, direct fit OE replacement bumper cover?

Not sure where the best is, but usually if parts are CAPA certified (Should be marked as such), they're more likely to fit. But no aftermarket is perfect. Remanufactured bumpers are always an option as well; if you have a local business that specialized in bumper repairs, they'll sometimes take...

    Metric Talk: Most uncommon size

I can't remember ever using a 16, 17, or 20. And 9mm is used on Ford Ranger rear door glass and rear windows.

    Toolvest

I could see it being useful if you were doing some kind of maintenance work where you had to be suspended, or something like that. Otherwise, the bend over, tools fall out scenario seems very likely

Best door hanger? - replacing hinge pins

At my work we have these: http://www.innovativetools.com/innovative-products/innovative-door-jack/ They work well, and they have rubber "pegs" hanging down instead of metal ones, so they won't mark up the door. Pretty expensive though

    Decent set of vicegrips?

Am I right in the assumption that the Snap-On locking pliers (COO Spain) are Grip-On rebrands?

    Flank Drive Questions

The other day, I was taking a running board off a early 90s Tahoe, and even my Flank Drive Snap-On sockets couldn't get a grip since the bolts were so rounded. Pulled out my FDP wrenches, turned them off no problem. I knew in the back of my head that they were worth the extra money when I got...

    Snapon Gumball Machine!?

Looks like it's just a plain old Beaver gumball machine with a snap on sticker stuck on it. An older version of this one, by the looks of it: http://www.beavervending.com/northernbeaver.asp

Garage techs-- tax consequences of your SO/Mac/Matco purchases?

In Canada, a tradesperson can write off up to $500 they spend on tools in excess of $1065, if they have to supply their own tools. There's also a bunch of stuff about tool disposition, where if you sell tools you've written off, you have to add an adjusted amount to your yearly income. The...

snap on flank drive plus adjustable wrench

I know in the catalog, they state that they do have a chance to mark up bolts for the FDP wrenches, and they recommend normal wrenches for tasks where the bolt can't be marked up. I wouldn't expect the adjustable ones to be any different.

    Let's see your toolbox.

Here is my Snap-on Classic 96, just got it a couple months ago (start of January), and am filling it slowly, but surely. I'm a 20 year old autobody apprentice, been doing it for a year and a half, and loving it. No drawer pics right now, but only about half the drawers are full at the moment...
