Most of these suppliers don't stock these bigger expensive panels anways, they are all drop shipped from the supplier. If you chat with Home Depot reps and ask what the in stock ETA date is, they will tell you to hang on while they contact the manufacturer.
Yes, that's exactly why I want this setup. So I can work in a completely dead panel. Also makes future panel swaps cheaper and easier.

That's what the $4000 Millbank metersocket is supposed to allow you to do...But the Siemens panel has the same thing, but with some spaces for branch circuits, for half that price.
