    endoscope ? recomendation please

pipes are what i need it for as well. i think i have a bunch of tree roots in the line. but digging just to investigate would require way to much work. the other possibility is the pipe goes right under where the previous owner had a burn pit. so the pipe may be collapsed from heat.

    endoscope ? recomendation please

does anyone have any experience with an endoscope? i need one, but i am not what you would call a "techie". if its more than toss in an installation disc and follow directions, i will not be able to use it. there are lots of them on ebay, but none of them say anything about windows 10 compatible.

Needing new screwdrivers. Help with selection.

in my younger years, i was a Craftsman guy thru and thru. but over the years, i have learned that not everything Craftsman makes is the best product. screwdrivers is one of those tools. for a guy working at home and not making a living with his tools, they work well enough. but when you make...

    battery powered tools

i had wondered if the claim on the capacity was just that, a claim. is there any brand of battery that is better than most? i did notice that most of the batteries are no name. yes, i am looking on ebay. though i just thought that maybe Newegg might sell them as well. they tend to sell quality...

    carlyle roto head ratchet disassembly?

dipping works on most of them. but some of them are sealed so well, that even soaking them for a week will not let fluid in. not even penetrating oil! i have 3 ratchets like that. 2 of them are Snap On, the other one i can not remember right now. i have not tried tearing them apart. maybe one of...

Recommend a set of P handle hex?

i never bought a set. i bought sockets instead. and a "T" handle. makes a lot more sense, and they will fit in tight places where the t handles ones will not.

    Buying tools ..you'll rarely use

when i was working, i used to do that, a lot. but now, i only buy things i NEED (except the cool, gotta have to play with ones). but a fixed income limits even that. you can take the mechanic out of the garage, but you can not take the garage out of the mechanic.

    battery powered tools

well, i have decided to try rebuilding this battery pack. it looks like i can do that for under $35.00. but i do have a couple of questions about ni-cd batteries. the batteries that are in there now are 1300 mah, which is pretty low. can i move up (i have found all the way up to 3300 mah...

    battery powered tools

over the years i have amassed many battery powered tools. since i can not seem to throw ANYTHING away, about 1/2 of them need new batteries. some of them are really only good for parts, because they either got abused, or used so much they are worn out. i have decided to try to rebuild my newest...

What is the first tool or tools you bought from the tool truck?

Snap On safety wire pliers was the first thing i bought. i had a half way decent collection of tools when i started working as a set up mechanic. the second day on the job, the exhaust on my car broke, and i was trying to wire it up enough to get home. the lead mechanic came out with his safety...

How does everyone store welding masks ?

I drive a nail part way into a wall stud, and hang the mask on that. low tech, and extremely easy. but it works. I also have an old diaper hanging right below it to clean the glass with before i use it. there is also a spray bottle of windex hanging on another nail beside the mask.

Installing New Garage Door: Windows or None?

Personally, I want as much free light inside my garage as I can get. if you do not want people to see in, you can either have the glass sandblasted, or buy a spray on "frost" coating (like spray paint) that will let in the light, while not let people see whats inside. or you can buy (easiest) a...
