    Simple Drill Press Stand

reset. didn't get shots of the top... I used bolts w/ jam nuts for the feet, for leveling. rubber pads were just for test mode.

    Simple Drill Press Stand

I have a bench top drill press, which I like. Variable speed, no belts need changing... Anyway, I had it on a bench top for years. Then we moved, and it sat on the floor for a year and a half. I finally got around to making a stand for it. 3x3" angle iron, 3/16" 3' of Schedule 40 ~ 2.25"...

Workbench height for a guy who is 6' 4"

44" I am 6'4" with a bad back.. just raised one and mis measured my new leveing feet. it is now at 46" but still useable. Make the height adjustable +/- 2" and target 42" the elbow height minus 4" is a great guide. I arrived at almost the exact same spec myself.

Fold up / compact assembly table ? Need ideas

i have an older version of, what i think are like these http://www.homedepot.com/p/34-in-Adjustable-Folding-Sawhorse-SH3801/206261852 i found them to be quite useful and often used as temp work space when i threw a sheet of 2x4 on them. I believe mine go a bit taller though

    Lift for tall guys.

I've yet buy my lift, the new house & garage is still 3 months out from completion. That said, I've been considering the Rotary SPOA10 ShockWave. I really don't want to spend the extra money nor do I really want the 110V function of this lift. However, it seems the shockwave version has 3" of...

Tension Concrete Foundation and a Lift

oh, as far as closets... there is one large one there in the master, of course. and The Wife and I already had the discussion about the study closet. She didn't want it... i know, thats odd. She wants to put office built-ins along that adjacent wall and didn't want a closet door. so the utility...

Tension Concrete Foundation and a Lift

Thanks for the feedback. I really appreciate it. I've asked the builder to put me into contact directly with the structural engineering firm that designed this. as for garage finish, I don't plan to do anything. just use it. no flooring, no epoxy coating, etc. I originally told them that I...

    two post threaded spin adapters.

i dont have your answer but this place seems to sell parts for all kinds. perhaps a call. one measure shows 2" under the rotary parts but that sounds big. http://www.automotiveshopequipment.net/pages/Lift%20Parts/Adapters/adapters.htm#Rotary%20Adapter%20Parts

Tension Concrete Foundation and a Lift

I don’t know. I’ll have to ask It appeared to me the footers were part of the beam, like tabs 2’ out. Is that not a correct interpretation of these drawings? If these footers are basically tabs on the beam, does this still apply? What about the differential shrinking in regards to beams, in...

Tension Concrete Foundation and a Lift

Now, we come to the slab design. first the whole one (zoomed out), then the garage with both side by side. I've asked them to clarify but have yet to hear back. Does this design show that they intend to build 24" deep footers where i intend to put my lift post bases? If so, is this a bad thing...

Tension Concrete Foundation and a Lift

slab design- Update: we have the house designed, the lot cleared, and the slab engineered. it is, of course, post-tension as is common in this area. From the get-go I've specified that there will be a 2-post lift and that i wanted to be sure there is sufficient concrete and reinforcement...

    Track Car Brake Duct Plenum

http://www.rrsusp.com/docs/f-body_vette-bearing_installation.pdf The guy that designed these runs an AI car in the same region as myself. a few AI cars (bigger rubber, bigger brakes, more speed) run these w/o issue. you can even adapt your ABS, which I don't have on a CMC car...

Help me design my welding table.

For these movable tables, what kinds of casters are being used? I would figure locking casters would be needed. Would locking casters on all four keep the table nice and stable from bumping and such as you work on/around it? maybe just the two?

Tension Concrete Foundation and a Lift

nope, we haven't even finalized the house design yet... but i'm already planning on the important stuff like the garage/shop... I plan on taking pictures of the forms & cabling before they pour, along w/ a multitude of pictures as the home build progresses of course. another question, in...

    Track Car Brake Duct Plenum

late update. finished them, scrapped the first design, made two more partial mock-ups then finished w/ these... never did use them though. I haven't driven the car since. back problems followed by pursing a new home build have shoved the race car onto the back burner
