    tyvek vs. roofing paper

the issue is that tyvek does not let the materials breathe. here at the coast moisture WILL get in, roofers felt lets it breathe more. typar is almost foolproof to install. it is far cheaper and faster.. this is why so many use it.

Busting out old concrete... why so difficult?

te tear it out all the time. i install pavers, so we are always ripping out concrete and replacing it. get a large mini-excavator...a 10-14K machine with a hydraulic thumb will wok fine. make sure you try grading contractors, paver contractors, etc. if you were closer i would jump all over...

lol.... i find it quite funny to read some of the responses... I totally agree with the wussification comment. I also see that very few here have even the slightest comprehension of engineering or physics (the base science of engineering).... there is nothing wrong with these ramps/platforms...

Rough In for lawn irrigation system?

i am in the irrigation business. pressure above 50 psi is really not good on an irrigation system. It causes misting, etc. Flow rate is MUCH more improtant as it determines how many heads you can run per zone. We normally tap in directly at the meter as we have more volume available...
