Recently I purchased a pair of similar jack stands because I don't feel safe using the ratcheting type but the mode number is CX-5. The base is 10" by 12" and the stands can be extended from around 15" to 20". My plan is to use them to support my pickup truck. I guess those model numbers mean...

I know this is a very old thread but I wonder if anyone has more information about these jack stands. For example, what is the load rating? Does model CX-2 mean 2 tons?
