Help Appreciated! - FINALLY Pulling the Trigger on a 4 Post Lift (Bendpak or Direct Lift)

I bought a Tuxedo RJ-45 rolling jack and it works perfectly on my Bendpak 4-post. There are a few different brands that all appear to be the same RJ-45 jack. It was $1,100 before shipping whereas Bendpak wanted over $2K for their version of it.

Borrowing the QuickJack is going to make you want to get one. I've had mine for a few years, it's been awesome, and I don't miss using jack stands at all. Check Costco if you decide to buy one as they periodically run sales on them.

    Newbie, but not first rodeo

I bought a Bendpak HD-7500 BLX a few years ago and it has been great. You do not need to bolt it down and as the post above mentioned, the casters are supposed to only be attached when you are moving the lift. The only alternative boat or trailer lift I know of is from Wildfire lifts. The...

Weight of 4 post lift column

Like others have said, moving the columns is fairly easy by yourself. Install can be done by one person as well, at a minimum you will need floor jacks, dollies, and wood blocks as someone else mentioned. I found this video really helpful in how to do the install by yourself.

It's funny that you say this because they talked about this car only being around for a couple of years. Send them a follow-up, I really enjoy hearing those especially when people double their budgets.

Help me elevate my garage organization and layout!

I had a similar issue with the lighting in my new garage as there were three light bulb sockets for the entire 3-car garage. I replaced them with three duplex receptacles. It's a quick install and I think it looks better than using light bulb socket adapters...

    Between 485 & 705 SQ/FT From a "double" to a DOUBLE

Catching up on your posts from last month, selling your business had to be a painful decision but hopefully that helps improve family life. I started listening to Everyday Driver a couple of years ago and have slowly been catching up on past episodes. I was listening this morning and they are...

    Quickjack vs bridge jack?

I was doing some work on my car over the weekend and took some pictures of the QuickJacks on the 4-post lift. I thought these would be helpful for this discussion. After doing this, I have decided to get a bridge jack as it will be more convenient for me. This car sits low and the gap between...

    Quickjack vs bridge jack?

I'm going through this debate right now. I bought a set of QuickJacks a few years ago and love them. I then bought a 4-post lift for storing vehicles when I had a two-car garage as well as being able to do maintenance. Now that I have a three car garage, I no longer need the 4-post for storage...

    Smart Garage Door Opener Question

Have you looked at the Chamberlain/LiftMaster MyQ system? It's a hub that learns your garage door openers similar to a remote in your car or a Homelink system in your car. I think this is exactly what you are looking for. There are a lot of garage door openers that have MyQ technology built-in...

    4 Post Lift Must Haves?

Magnetic parts trays for holding lug nuts/bolts. Picked up 4 of these for $8 at Harbor Freight so that I don't lose lug nuts when removing wheels. I would like to get a bridge/rolling jack but until that happens, I used some scrap wood to store my QuickJacks in the center of the lift. Makes...

    Remove garage staircase wall?

That's where I initially wanted to install it but getting the plumbing to that point was going to be an issue. Plumbing is already done so I am set with this location now. She isn't a ******* idiot that dings the **** out of car doors everywhere. We each want to be able to park our vehicles in...

    Remove garage staircase wall?

Interesting responses today... Yes, I know the sink is large but that is on purpose so that it can be used to wash the dog and some other large items. I wish there was more space in this portion of the garage but as mentioned above, builders keep reducing the size of garages while vehicles are...
