I believe I read on another forum that: The 950 vises turned into the 9 500 line (9" opening, 5" jaw width). So it would make sense to me given the age that: The 740 vises turned into the 7 400 line (7" opening, 4" jaw width). Making the 740 a model number, not a part number?
