Looking for the world's best wall anchors

I agree with the gorilla hooks posted above for normal things like picture frames... For heavier duty hooks, I haven't found anything better than wallclaws. They're rated to hold 90lbs a piece and i've used them extensively to hang wall cabinets, mirrors, ect. They work so well, I prefer this...

    dubber's double

Wow, so clean. I love the progress and was wondering how you mounted the recycling bins. Great job! I can't wait to see it continue to evolve.

    Single car garage in Indianapolis

Looks great! I love the color theme you've been able to pull across the entire garage. Your workbench and cabinet choices are inspiring.

    The Apartment Garage

Thanks guys. Minor update, got the other side of shelving in, light hung, and took a pick of the quad bulb light at the back of the garage. Here are the updated pics. I still need to apply another coat or two of paint to the shelves, but figured it was just easier with my time constraints...

    The Apartment Garage

Thanks dubber and carmac. Sealing the garage base with the great stuff foam seems to have done the trick in keeping out most of the bugs and spiders. With my schedule right now, I usually only can work on the garage 1 day a week at best, so it stays shut up for days and weeks at a time. Each...

    Protecting lower garage walls?

Rubber cove was my choice. It's thinner than traditional wooden baseboard. You can get it in a number of colors and is easy to trim to fit and fairly easy to install too. I just installed some recently in post #12 here: http://www.garagejournal.com/forum/showthread.php?t=259254

    The Apartment Garage

I made some more progress on the garage today. I used a can of Great Stuff expanding foam on the perimeter of the garage walls to seal them up tight. Hopefully this stops any further spiders/bugs from getting in. I found several dead spiders today and one rather large one still alive. They...

My attached 1 car garage + workshop project

What a great space to work with and an NA and NB... Best of both worlds!

First home, first garage, first build.

Great start! It looks like you've got plenty of space in your garage, and a sweet parking pad next to it too. The Eight Six wasn't parked outside when the hail came through I hope?

    The Apartment Garage

I agree with dubber, that makes absolutely no sense! The next guy that gets my garage is getting hundreds of dollars in free upgrades and hours of my labor. I suppose you could panel the walls which would be removable and you could then have them painted without actually painting the walls. 1...

    The Apartment Garage

Paint! Painting unpainted and old drywall *****. We've never had the misfortune of having to do this before. After 3 coats of Bullseye 1,2,3 and 2 coats of Valspar Semi-Gloss Brilliant White, the wife and I were finally able to have some clean walls that reflect a bit of light. I also...

    The Apartment Garage

As this is a rental complex, and the garages are generally used and abused by the past renters, there's a bit of variation between the condition of each of them. After looking at several that we're available, I selected what I thought was the best. It has good exposure which blocks it from...

    The Apartment Garage

So here's what we started with... It's ugly, dirty, damp, and poorly lit. It'll fit your stuff, but it's hardly a place to get any work done or one you'd want to spend more than a few minutes in.
