Just lift it up, it will lock automatically. You can you a fork lift, or an engine lift.

I got new longer hoses at my local hydraulic hose place. They had not trouble making the hose with the proper fittings. They didn't act like they were anything out of the ordinary.

It's an illusion, you can drive straight in and get on the lift. The yellow support pole is a giant PITA, It breaks the garage is half making it seem a lot smaller than it is. Thats the number one reason I am planning on building a 48' X 66' shop.

I used the supplied anchor bolts, I think they were 5/8" I just raised up the lift and drilled the holes with a hammer drill, tapped in the anchors and tightened them down. The drilling was easy because the concrete was fresh. It was much easier than the way Paul did his.

It has a standard disconnect style main power switch that you could put a lock on.

I would error on the side of too big a gap. I had to grind my concrete to get my lifts to fit. I wouldn't recommend grinding, it took me hours of grinding down in the hole, and it covered me and the entire garage in dust. I don't think a 1/2" gap would be a problem. In my experience stuff will...

Under car access is fine. About the only thing you can't get to underneath is the rocker panels.

I pushed the PVC condiut through the dirt to the cutout where the control panel is. You start with a short piece of pipe and pound it into the ground with a hammer until it fills with dirt, then you pull it out and shake the dirt out, then repeat until you get the pipe where you want it.

Yes, there are four 5/8" anchor bolts per lift.
