    The Harbor Freight PASS/FAIL Thread...

I have the 25" breaker bar and it's a major pass. About a month ago I replaced the engine on my 17 year old mower. I started with the 17" 3/8" drive breaker bar and sockets, but the bolts holding the engine to the mower housing were so frozen that the socket kept popping off from the 3/8"...

:) I bought both the 3 ton aluminum and 3 ton steel jack stands a couple of years ago as cheap back ups. Over the years I've had tires blow out on the freeway four times and each time has been an adventure changing it. The last time was outside of Baker, California (On the way to Vegas) on...

My two cents here... I don't like the looks of the HF 750lb engine stand. My "T" engine stand is over 30 years old from a different company and it's had a few small block Chevy engines on it and never had a problem, although I rarely moved it more than 10' with an engine on it. Ideally a...

    Harbor Freight Coupon Thread

Lakewood, California. Been going to the old then new store for at least 20 years. Maybe 15 years ago it finally sank it, damn they're cute. There was that one cashier in her late 20's who was ok until she started lecturing me after I bought the Earthquake ratchet and declined the extended...

Thanks guys. The HF I go to always has the cutest cashiers, but many don't seem to care one way or another about the coupons.

    Harbor Freight Coupon Thread

Question.. has anyone used a coupon to buy multiples of the same item? Are the registers at HF stores set up to automatically input the discount prices for all the items? When I use a coupon code online, it only allows the discount to be on one item even if the coupon says, for example "Limit...

I've had the 1lb black rubber mallet for about a year with no problems for light duty work. http://www.harborfreight.com/1-lb-rubber-mallet-39646.html

In the HF store I went to, they weren't near the wrench section. I'm drawing a blank on what they were next to but they were in the same aisle as the wheel chocks. I've used the 80lb and 100lb limiting extensions and they both torqued the lugs just a hair under their ratings. I checked the...

I try not to order from HF online either. Couple of years ago I ordered a couple of the solid 8" rubber tires for my hand truck. They shipped one and cancelled the other one. I had to go to HF to get the other 8" tire on a different pattern hub. Oh, the solid 8" rubber tire is a PASS...

I've read a few posts where people are dissatisfied with these wrenches. I bought the set of metric long handled wrenches about three years ago because I needed a long 17mm wrench to reach the top mounting nut of my rear shocks. It worked really well. I recently used the box ends of my 17mm...

I have the soldering gun. It takes a bit getting used to because it doesn't have the copper tips like my old Weller gun. The solder doesn't stick to the HF tips, but it provides quick heat to melt the solder to the wires. It's a PASS for me.
