    The Milwaukee addiction thread! :)

I rarely use mine off the table, and if I do it comes off pretty easily, so I still consider it practical for remote use. And with the Fuel I can just carry the table to wherever I'm working in the shop without needing to consider a plug. I will kind of miss just walking up to it and stepping...

    The Milwaukee addiction thread! :)

I was using a corded Milwaukee portaband on a Swag table with a foot switch. That was excellent, but when I got the Fuel portaband I could not use the foot switch. I had an old tractor choke cable and lever lying around, so I made a lever mechanism to pull the trigger. Works great, and can...

    Modular screwdriver setups?

Still shopping, moving on to 1" bits. The question I'm having is whether there's a perceptible difference in quality between the standard Wihas/Weras/Felos and, say, the Tekton Everybit set? Any other directions you would recommend? I'm going cross-eyed shopping the premium brands by...

    Modular screwdriver setups?

Thanks guys! I hadn't heard of the Xcelite stuff before. BMack, I may end up doing that Wera set. Do you use anything to adapt it for universal off-the-shelf bits, if needed?

    Modular screwdriver setups?

I hate that you might be right. I always planned on having 10 or 12 standard screwdrivers but was hoping to get away with something more compact than 30++ additional for situations I rarely encounter :-/. Seems a shame that someone doesn't seem to have gotten this right by 2020.

    The Milwaukee addiction thread! :)

I recently got sick of tripping over airhoses, cleaning carburetors, and considering adding yet another battery system. Bit the bullet and replaced pretty much everything So far so great! It's grown since these pics. I got the 3/8 right angle impact, all of the ratchets, and the tire...

    Modular screwdriver setups?

Thanks guys. I've seen most of these options, but what I'm really after are some longer bits such that you essentially end up with something more akin to a standard screwdriver and not a 1" bit in a handle. Very much like the Wera link in my OP, or the PB Swiss set posted above (except they...

    Modular screwdriver setups?

It was funny to come here to post this and see FreshleySnipes's thread about best ratcheting screwdrivers right up at the top. Some great replies there, but not quite what I'm looking for and don't want to threadjack. I'm wanting to put together a screwdriver "system" with various handles and...

Alright folks, BUILD THREAD (v2, now with pics!)

I think I've gotcha. Something like this? I can't really sandwich it because the other side of the truss is the exterior with the awning/eave under it, but this looks like it could work, just with a bit of moment load. I've got cats that are doing a good job taking care of the mice so far...

Alright folks, BUILD THREAD (v2, now with pics!)

Appreciate any help you guys can offer. I'm going to be stuck working in an unfinished shop if I can't find a contractor or figure out these roadblocks on my own.

    Sonos, Airplay, Bluetooth, Speakers???

I bought this for my 1700sf shop. $160 (when I bought it). Very little spaghetti (one wire to each speaker/sub), easy Bluetooth connection and brings the bumps! Great for introducing your neighbors to Lemmy. https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B010XHCQGK/?tag=atomicindus08-20

Alright folks, BUILD THREAD (v2, now with pics!)

So here's the first question. This is the back side of the shop where the rear eave is. Per the drawing, I will be building a wall under the left side and eliminating the wall from the right side. The left side has two 2x10s acting as a header. The right side has one 2x10 that starts at 2"...

Here's some of the damage! And the plan. Not to scale, obviously; just the layout. That's it for now!
