J H Williams vintage hand tools

1st time back in a few years. Was thinking of loading up some ebay listings of old different J H Williams tools. I remember a few guys here, one was from western new york. That collected. Of course, I don't want to give away items. Hoping to sell for good $$. Or is this history? Nothing seems to...

Let's Hear it for the Old Gray/Red Sears Craftsman Tool Chests and Cabinets (60s/70s)

Reason I signed on is. I lost one of those little clips that go on side of the sliding track for the drawers. Almost looks like a women's bobby pin / hair clip. I did not search ebay, our local Sears hardware stores closed up in my area. Just need 1. Thanks in advance for any info.

Let's Hear it for the Old Gray/Red Sears Craftsman Tool Chests and Cabinets (60s/70s)

Love the idea with the track lighting. I graduated High School in 1976. My Mom bought me this red set, top & bottom, I added the middle a few years ago, nice to see they kept the same dimensions. So, only 43-44 yrs. old. Very sentimental! As I lost my Dad in 1972, and most of his tools are in...

Homelite made a good chain saw back when

Old Thread, but I just picked up a very nice HOMELITE XL-12. 15-16" bar The Blue / White model. The recoil was apart. No spring ?? I assume their is a few parts?? I see a NOS on ebay asking $450? WHAT. Then 1 selling for $70. It has spark, carb is clean. Is it worth fixing to sell. Or just sell...

    Vintage Air Compressors

Have this 30 gallon CURTIS. Deciding what to do with it! Has sentimental value, as It was my Dad's. He was killed in 1972 in an Industrial accident, 1 was just 13 yrs. I used it up until 1996. It is one heavy SOB! I took the motor off to move it around a few times. Old Century 1 hp electric...

    The VISES of Garage Journal

While I am at it, Here is an old pipe vise that was in my Grandfathers old city house. This looked like this when I was 5 as young as I remember. Down in cellar with my little stash of tools and a workbench with a little clamp on vise. But old, olny markings are in the picture. over the years, I...

    The VISES of Garage Journal

Funny story about the COLUMBIAN vise. When I was working at a big printing plant, I worked in shipping, night shift. An unknown machinist or ??? Must have took this vise to steal it! The skill trades guys had trike bikes to ride around the plant. So one night I see this vise stashed away, hidden...

Hello, long time since I posted. Just want to check on a REED 3-1/2" utility vise? Any value?? Before I clean it and paint it? Or should I leave original patina? I did not see any 3-1/2 on ebay. Did see 4-1/2. I want so bad to glass bead the brass plates and paint it. Polish the handle. Plus my...

Do 1976 Red Boxes count? I've had a set since. Keep for sentimental reasons and decal collection. Have pics if it counts for vintage.
