Shop organization for those that are OCD

I use HF tarps to cover the front of my shelving attached with bungie cords. Simple and effective...

    Which grease should I use?

Good to hear I’m not the only one that leaves red grease drops all over the shop floor lol

    Let's See Your Garage Dog

Here is my Gracie girl, a 7 month old chocolate lab. My wife brought her home to me in November, and she has filled a void in my heart after having to put down my 15 year old hound 2.5 years ago and then my new hound pup getting hit by a car 3 months later. I was not able to bring myself to get...

So what do you wear when working on cars

I have 2 pairs of Walmart coveralls, a short sleeve light weight material for summer and a long sleeve heavy weight for winter. I got tired of having to change clothes before going down to the shop after work or to do a quick job, now I just put the coveralls over what I’m wearing and get to work.

    Recommend me a Torque Wrench!

I have had good luck with the 1/2 and 3/8 cobalt I got from Lowe’s. Same use as you, weekend warrior that needed a 3/8 for engine work and a 1/2 for lug nuts/suspension.

    The Green Snap-on Tools ****

Re: The Green Tools **** I’m getting a borla muffler welded in my truck exhaust and the snap on truck pulls up, I’m in trouble.... It’s been 10 years since I’ve been on a tool truck, it was nice talking to the owner and looking at his tools. The ratchet was something I had been planning on...

    Condensation Issue

NC as well with same issue in detached shop. I bought an exhaust fan to mount in the wall and a humidity “stat” that plugs into a wall outlet (and the fan plugs into it) that turns on at a set humidity level (adjustable). Installing it unfortunately hasn’t made it to the top of my to-do list...

    Clean versus not so much.

I use tarps to hide all the “stuff” I have accumulated over the years on pallet racks. The bottom shelf on the right rack is about 5’ off the ground to keep tall lift accessories (transmission jack, stiff arm, oil change jug) out of the way. The rack to the left of my gf’s workbench is covered...

    Lets see your workbench

My girlfriend has shown interest in doing some small woodworking/craft projects lately so I decided to clean up the “junk corner” of the shop and make her a work area. I didn’t want to lose storage space so I used a rack I previously had in my garage. I’m planning to “t” into the existing...

Holy Frijoles! Post up pics of your Snap On Taco boxes

Looks great!!! I still haven't started on mine lol. My son uses the top end drawer as a TV tray and I like to pile junk on it, so I guess it's getting used at least. Here's a pic of it in action with my dad, son and nephew chilling in the shop

Just bought the Harbor Freight US General 56 top & bottom toolbox today

That's the box I have and couldn't be happier, except now I've run out of room. Seems to be a common problem around here...
