sanity check - moving my service drop and going to 400A

Not sure what size wire you got to use between meter and disconnects to meet code in your area. But it looks as if it will be awful tight squeeze. I had to use 250 tri-plex.

sanity check - moving my service drop and going to 400A

I just went through all of this trying to get power to my shop. I had to go with a 400 amp service to the shop and feed the house from the shop. They abandoned the old service to the house. Check out my build and you will see some photos of it all.

Just pulled the trigger on a 2 post lift - 9,000 lb. Atlas

The curb weight on my f250 comes in around 7800 lbs. Not sure what year model truck you have, whether it is 4 or 2 wheel drive. That can make a difference along with loaded tool boxes etc. You can always go with a bigger lift.

You can google that and I am sure you will find plenty of info. The 1500.00 9k lift is designed for more of the hobbiest. The 1900.00 lift is a little more robust less parts to wear out or fail. You can go to Greg Smith's web site and get more info.

One is a direct drive and the other is a chain roll-over lift.

I think it was about $2011.00 out the door.

There are four hinges on each door, they are pretty heavy. The doors are supposed to be temporary until I can later afford an insulated roll up door. If you go to my build thread you can probably see some shots of the hinges.

On that truck I have to stoop a little under it, but on most cars it is not a problem. I am 5'11" by the way.

None so far. The anchor bolts are about 7.5 inches away from the cut.

New 24x32 build in west GA

I sold my bike cause I didn't ever ride it, and bought an Atlas OH900. I finished the install last week, but I had to wait on a set of truck frame adapters to come in. I lifted my f250 7.3 psd today. The truck curb weight is under the capacity by 1000 lbs but it is a little un-nerving being...

I used my engine hoist to get them off the truck and set the base on the ground. Had someone in the truck pick up the top and walk it upright. You'll need help with the overhead section also.

Just pulled the trigger on a 2 post lift - 9,000 lb. Atlas

Just finished my install last night. I did most of it myself, I got a little help with the heavy lifting. The install manual that comes with the lift could have been better. But with a little common sense and patience I got it done.
