My neighbour and I keep the lane to our homes clean during the winter. He has a quad with a 5' blade and pushes the snow to the sides...the design of the blade and speed he goes isn't conducive to moving the snow off the shoulders of the lane. That's where I come along with my 24" snow blower...
That's exactly what my wife's criteria was when I made plans for our new garage. Her only comment was; 'Go ahead and build your garage but it has to compliment the house...I don't want to look at an ugly building every time I drive in to the yard'.
So that's what we built, a 6 car garage with...
Yup, that's exactly what I had for a couple of days. The surgeon said it happens to about 10% of gall bladder patients. I have the video taken during the surgery and all things considered my liver looks pretty good.
The surgical tools coming through my chest walls is kind of...
All of the above plus; In floor radiant heat is my #1 suggestion and #2 is a dedicated 'dirty room' where you can weld, grind, paint, drill etc. I Have a full bathroom in my garage and use it nearly as much as the ones in the house.
One important thing comes to mind regarding gates. Fire Departments usually have a minimum width gate requirement due to their emergency vehicles. Up here where we live it's 16'.... you might consider checking your local regulations. Insurance considerations re; gate width could come into play?
I'd carefully scrape the layered stuff off, then Barkeeper's Friend and elbow grease..
That's it....Barkeeper's Friend, the best stuff ever for stainless steel.
Your lift looks familiar... I bet it's a Rotary which I too have and wouldn't be without. My lift is rarely empty and just last week I had my snow blower up on it for it's annual servicing. This getting old (+60) ***** big time and a lift provides me with the initiative to carry on with the car...
I installed radiant heat in my new shop when it was built 4 years ago. My garage/shop has 6 bays totalling +/- 2800 sq. ' and is divided into 2 separate zones.
On the 'parking side' of the garage there are 4 cars and I have the heat set at 55 * F .... on the 'working side' I have the heat...
I use propane for floor heat in my garage and the only stipulation is that the tank must be a minimum of 10' from the exhaust duct. I took this requirement into consideration when I built my garage. Your 50' between buildings seems rather 'excessive'.
I have a single 'pig' tank that is up...
IMHO, this is, by far, one of the most interesting threads on the www. Thank you Thomas & Chris for bringing us along with you on your journey.
