It keeps evolving. If you zoom in you can see the hinge attachment points.

    Turning gorilla racks into cabinets

I used leftover interior home door hinges. They are surface mounted to the face of the doors and bolted to the inner lip of the uprights.

Wilton 540 14lb still in original box

We found this vise amongst a bunch of tools. It is still in the original box. The date of purchase is September 1st 1977. Looking for an idea of what it might be worth? As you can see by the pictures it has seen a little bit of use but doesn't appear to have ever been mounted to a bench. We...

Bolt bins ..show me your creative cost effective solution

I am limited to a three-car garage at the moment. I don't like dust in my bins so I built a cabinet for my bins. It works for me for now. I added a pull-out shelf above the tool chests for a work surface as well.

    Turning gorilla racks into cabinets

As long as you don't mind drilling a couple holes for your hinges it works great. I could not come up with a hinge idea with the materials I had that did not include drilling holes.

    Turning gorilla racks into cabinets

3/4 plywood, 1x2 framing around the perimeter spaced 1/2 from the edge, I used heavy door hinges bolted to the uprights. One set of doors has pegboard inserts, the other just has bin hangers. The 1x2 framing keeps the door really square and plumb.

    Turning gorilla racks into cabinets

I have the gorilla racks from Menards. The ones you are able to purchase by the piece. I have a power tool cabinet and parts cabinet. Enclosed with pegboard and simple plywood doors. Just took some bolts, latches, and hinges. Still in the process of moving into our new house. Used a torch to...
