If you're already watching those videos, consider learning to re-pin the locks. It's trivially easy with a little practice. You should be able to find suitable pins on eBay, or they can usually be fashioned from some round stock
It appears to be. The deal still shows, but when I add to my cart all I see is the grinder, not the battery as well. Probably better for me as all of my other tools are teal or red, but I could use a die grinder, so I was super tempted.
Take a look at the machines at Eastwood. They're not up to the standards of a Miller or Lincoln, but they're at least a good as, and better than most of the Chinese machines.
They currently have the 175A MIG with the Spool Gun for 479...
Seems way too good to be right. Also the 4 lb shipping weight doesn't seem right. I ordered a few anyway, and will cross my fingers.

The average guy who needs that explained to him (and many who do not) will have neither the proper tools or expertise to terminate CAT7. 6 or even 5e would be fine for a AP in a garage and can be done with a $10.00 crimper and a diagram from Wikipedia
