    Radiant Slab Kit Suppliers

For my 30x50 slab I went with Radiant Floor Company. They put together a quote with the manifolds, whole single zone setup (pump, controller, valves, etc) and heater. https://www.radiantcompany.com

What did you do "IN" your garage today?

Gutted the interior in the '08 Sierra to redo the aftermarket stereo system that was installed back in '09. One of the amplifiers went out on me a couple of years ago and I am finally getting around to it now that I've got the garage to park it in. Side note - It's impressive the amount of...

    Garage layout critique

That's very similar to the way I've built my garage! It's a 30x50x13 with the doors on the long side, including the man door since it's behind my house. I've also built it with radiant floor heat and a dedicated bay for the 2 post lift on the left hand side. I went with a 10x10 door on the...

How did you decide how tall to make your garage?

That extra wait time can be crucial. HAHA :lol_hitti I went with 12 foot walls on top of the 1 foot of above grade foundation wall to give me a total of 13 feet floor to ceiling so that I can have a 2 post lift like many others. I guess it all just depends on what your plan for the space is.

    30 x 50 x ~14 Garage Build

Looks like everything is coming together nicely! I just built myself a 30x50 last year and am currently in the process of running utilities. I also installed a simple closed radiant system and am looking forward to see your progress!

Another Wiring to Detached Garage Conundrum

Yes, I am aware of the scrutiny I've subjected myself to by posting pictures, but I'm always willing to listen to what other folks have to say. Especially since this is my first time building anything like this. To answer your concerns: - Neutral wire has a white stripe down it, hard...

Another Wiring to Detached Garage Conundrum

I've attached a few pictures for anyone interested. And yes, I did fix the gap on the EMT going to my meter box and I will be cleaning up a lot of the other wiring when run the conduit for the data cable.

Another Wiring to Detached Garage Conundrum

Thank you all for the advice on this, I've made a few changes from my original plan and power is on! Here's what I did: - Sold 3" conduit, downsized to 2" - Dug 30" deep trench, ran conduit from new Sub panel on house to LB connection on detached garage. - Pulled 2-2-2-4 Al Mobile...

Another Wiring to Detached Garage Conundrum

Thanks for the quick replies! The reason for the 3" conduit is simple, it was leftover from the same project the wire came from so it was also free. I understand the need for the ground rods on the detached structure, however the building inspector said I only have to use the UFER in the...

Another Wiring to Detached Garage Conundrum

I spent most of last year building the shell of my detached garage and decided to wait until this Spring to run my trenches for the Power and Gas. Now that the weather is starting to turn for the better I'm itching to get back to it so that I can actually start running wire and using the dang...

    Howdy from the Salty Valley

Hey everyone, I came upon the site a couple years ago while I was in the initial planning process of my detached garage. Much to the surprise (and jealousy) of my neighbors, I took the plunge and built a 30' x 50' building in my backyard last year. I've still got a lot to do like run utilities...
