This is so strange, I was just in the garage fussing with mine not 10 minutes ago. Its just too stiff and will not engage cleanly. Ive already decided to go to Fastenal tomorrow to see if i can get it warrantied out.
All my 1/2" sockets are Gearwrench and I'm very impressed. I beat the snot out of them and have not seen any break. I've even thrown some on the end of an impact.
I have the Armstrong Maxx ratchets and love them. You really can't beat them for the price. I chose them over the Craftsman premiums after playing with one at Sears. Honestly, you probably can't go wrong with either one but I'd strongly suggest you try the Armstrongs.
The ATF/Acetone mix is my go to for rusted fasteners. I cant even remember the last time i've bought WD-40, kroil, etc. I like to use a rag or brush to apply it. I generally dont store it pre-mixed. I whip it up as needed.
I have one. I forget what I paid at the time. The battery life is good, the power isnt that great, at least in my experience. It wont even remove the lugs on my truck. In hindsight, i wish id have saved the money and went right to a Milwaukee. With that said though i do use it for medium duty...
