Thanks Everyone - I do have a much more heavy duty vise in my garage, but didn't think I needed to use it for this. I was trying to remove the screw from a rusty shackle.
I'll see if I can get more infomration about the vise - I believe it simply says "Korea" 4". I like the idea of mounting...
Hi Everyone,
I cracked my swivel base to my 4" vise this afternoon. Are there replacements ?
I would prefer not to toss it in the garbage if it can be salvaged. Thank you
Hello Everyone,
I was wondering if anyone has a recommendation for a concrete coating that can be used on a pool deck. The concrete is in pretty good shape, it has a couple of surface cracks but overall integrity is good. It would need to be able to withstand constant UV exposure and I would...
Hello Everyone - I just coated my basement workshop with Rustoleaum EpxoyShield Professional. It hasn't dried yet, but I had been planning to apply the clear coat in a couple days. However, after some research I've learned that the clear coat has a habit of yellowing if exposed to UV light...
Thanks for the advice, I have ruled out the Rustoleum products. Has anyone had any experience with Corotech ? I'm not sure if that's considered "big box" or not. I'm also looking at a product from Armor Garage
The link you provided is broken, is this what you're suggesting I investigate: https://armorpoxy.com/products/armorclad-add-kit-300-sq-ft-no-topcoat/?attribute_color=Khaki+Tan
Thank you
Hello All - I see that epoxy coatings is a popular subject around here so I'm hoping to get some suggestions on brands that are being used. I'm coating my basement workshop slab - approximately 250 SQ FT . I know floor prep is key, but hoping to figure out whether the big box store stuff is...
I was hoping it was the code on the label - I didn't see anything on the back of the ballast but I'll have a closer look. They certainly look like they're way older than 1985 - and my original thought was the age of the house.
This is where I came to that conclusion: http://www.gelighting.com/LightingWeb/apac/images/GE-PCB-Containing-Fluorescent-Lamp-Ballasts_tcm281-33708.pdf
The CY on the label of the Ballast is what I was referring to. Two of them are not labeled that way and I would have to suspect they do...
Yes, Thank you tfi_racing. I was looking at a PDF earlier from GE regarding PCBs in their Ballasts and the date code indicated on the ballasts appears to be from 1985 ('CY') - I think. So, I'm hoping these do not contain them. It's very possible the previous owners had to replace the ballasts...
Thanks for the replies - I agree that quality of these Fluorescent lights are far superior to what's offered at Lowes & Home Depot. The house was built in 1965 and it's very possible that these were installed around that time.
With regards to using LED ... Any recommendations on model/brand...
Hello Everyone - I'm looking for some suggestions. I have a basement workshop that is appproximately 10' x 25' - it currently has four 48" Fluorescent fixtures which I need to replace. The existing fixtures are Rapid Ballast by General Electric and they looks like they've been here since the...
Hello - I'm planning my workbench and was curious whether anyone had experience with these workbench legs from global industrial ?

My father used something similar that he got from sears many years ago, but I can't seem to find them...
