Best tool you've ever found in the street

Found this yesterday pulling out from work. Took on a little road rash but still works fine. Thought I might have struck gold when I was walking up to it, the handle shape looked like a Snap-On from afar. Didn't get that lucky, but good enough to throw in the roadside emergency or junkyard bag.

What did you do "IN" your garage today?

Changed a noisy serpentine tensioner on the wife’s Odyssey, then got to play a bit with my stuff. Got a new Vintage Speed shifter, shift coupler, and delrin bushing for my old beetle. Started on removal of the old stuff and clean up. Brought out the old craftsman bench grinder to wire wheel the...

What should I do with this A/C unit?

I will fully agree with this. The majority of my yard (at least around the house) is covered with huge oak trees. The shade is awesome in the summer time and definitely helps .

What should I do with this A/C unit?

It’s roughly 26” wide, 22” deep, and 16” tall. The reason I didn’t think it’s a window unit is because it came with a wall sleeve around it already, and the sheer size/weight of it. I could be wrong though it’s just a guess. It would be a 2 man job just to lift it into the window frame, probably...

What should I do with this A/C unit?

Yes it was a free unit. Unsure what refrigerant it uses as I have not been able to find a sticker or tag on the model info yet. My only concern with running it like a window unit is the weight of the unit itself, feels like a good 80lbs or so, I don’t want to cause any damage to the window...

What should I do with this A/C unit?

Wondering what I should do with this A/C unit, thoughts or opinions? I got this for free and it works good, although being a little old and slightly ugly. Would be nice to utilize it but not sure if possible. It’s an older Amana unit, have not seen a model number on it yet. It has a wall sleeve...

What did you do "IN" your garage today?

Found a spare couple of hours this weekend to get in the garage. Finished the brake job: all new wheel cylinders, brake hoses, shoes, spring/hardware kit. Adjusted brakes 2x, bled brakes 2x, fixed E-brake cable. Finally got a good pedal feel. Mounted the tires by hand, first time ever doing...

What did you do "IN" your garage today?

For sure. When he gave it to me originally, he had already gone out and bought a brand-new unit, said he was tired of messing with it. I would have gladly got it running for him for free though.

What did you do "IN" your garage today?

Grandfather gifted me his old generator. Said it didn't run, he had already drained the gas tank and refilled with fresh fuel, won't fire on starting fluid, and the battery is junk. I put the battery on my small tender/trickle charger for a few days, and it came back to life. Took the carb off...

    Furnace Filter Rant!

Anyone tried the washable/reusable filters like this? We run a couple humidifiers during the winter and it's insane how fast they will clog my furnace filters up. We have hard/well water which is probably the main cause of this, all of the minerals and calcium in the air turn to a white...
