    Ace Hardware Stores and Craftsman...

I won't go out of my way to seek out new Craftsman tools anymore. They seem like just any other brand to roll of the assembly line. This is a set of vice grips that my dad picked up for my son this past Christmas. Kind of tells the whole story.

    Trailer Jack is too long

The hesitation to cutting off the whole body off is only from a time stand point. I put about 16" of weld on it:shocking: If I can shorten the jack by three or four inches, I think I can accomplish that in less time and leave an overall more compact package. Trailer Jack is too long

I need some advice on how to shorten a trailer jack, if it is possible. I recently rebuilt the tongue of a neighbor's trailer. Part of the process was mounting a new weld on Reese Trailer Jack. I used this model...

Re: 1966 F100 EcoBoost Engine Swap & 1966 427 Project I really enjoy following your projects but this one really has my attention. I have a soft spot for a Lincoln Y Block and especially the 368. I have a '53 317 in my '56 F100. They are a unique engine family, less than a handful of parts...

    Just a fun... electrical YouTuber.

I like AvE for the projects that he works on and the ideas he brings. My 3 year old daughter LOVES when his chickadee comes into the shop with him. For the pure knowledge of machining I really enjoy This Old Tony and mrpete222 (tubalcain)

    Metal suppliers for small quantities?

Thanks for the tips in this thread. I'm trying to hunt down some DOM 4.125" OD x 2.875" ID. I only need about 4-5" of it. It doesn't need to be DOM but that's the only way I've found the size I need short of buying a solid round an machining it.
