    Favorite Multimeter Leads?

One of my pet peeves is how stiff the cheap stuff gets when cold. I'm partial to Pomona myself. Nice products, huge catalog. Above your $20 price point but if you take care of them, it's a lifetime purchase.

show me your 3-D printed tool organizers!

Gridfinity here too. There's a lot more, but this is the only picture I have handy to show off. Still a work in progress.

Bought a used open Car hauler. Need advice for restoration goals.

Oofta. That e-track setup in the "pro" trailer is not great. Is that seriously 18in fastener spacing?!? And what appears to be transition ramps bungeed to the walls are just asking to jump out of there.

    Bambu A1 inaccurate holes

I wouldn't just do a blanket 5% upsize, that's a LOT. Maybe more like 0.5% (probably even less for PLA, 0.1-0.2%) to account for shrinkage. X/Y hole compensation if your part dimensions are otherwise correct. I'd also visit the possibility that you're slightly over-extruding, and your model...

    Some cool Tekton updates

You're correct that forged steel is stronger than cast steel at the same thickness. But a machined part can be made from either. As an example, the wheels on the race car are machined from a solid block of forged aluminum. They don't literally forge the wheel directly into the final shape.

Tape, dope or both for black pipe for compressed air

While I'm a sparky and don't deal with this type of stuff directly, I can share this: my company specifies to NOT use tape on any air/gas piping as bits of it tend to end up in equipment over time. Dope only.

    Cordless inflators, Milwaukee or Ryobi?

I keep a corded Viair inflator under the back seat in case something goes completely sideways. I think a big limitation on why they don't have a 12V adapter on the M18 unit is it needs more power than a cigarette lighter socket can provide. People don't like dealing with alligator clips on...

    General purpose drill press

Another general purpose user here. I got my cross shopping down between similar Jet and Delta models. Picked one of these up a couple years ago and have been very happy with it. https://deltamachinery.com/product/18-900l-18-in-laser-drill-press/ What sold me on the delta was I liked the depth...

Preventing Capped Lug Nuts from swelling

I replaced the lugnuts on all 3 of my Fords with an OEM equivalent from Gorilla. I wouldn't call them cheap, but they weren't THAT much money. As mentioned, if you're careful and only use hand tools they hold up fine. The instant the tire monkey hits it with an impact, all bets are off.

Use Momentary Switch to toggle a relay?

It's possible to wire up a latch/unlatch with a momentary button using 4 standard relays as cgrutt suggested in post #3. But it does take up a fair amount of room in what could be an already cramped compartment. I've used these in the past for exactly these kinds of applications. 1 of these...

    cutting steel flush with concrete

You didn't mention mounded concrete in your original post, or any of the replies. Having said that, yes, a carbide OMT blade will handle that just fine as long as you don't allow the blade to get too hot. Will it take some useful life off the blade? Sure. But they aren't super expensive, and...

    cutting steel flush with concrete

Carbide tipped blade in an oscillating tool. I haven't done it with garage door tracks, but I have with bolts. No grinder required.

Adding an electric hoist to a 2-post lift?

I personally don't see a problem with it. I've seen people use Unistrut for attaching light duty trolleys to their hoist. Look at Unistrut P5000? The beam loading table suggests it'll hold plenty for your application with very little deflection. You could even possibly attach to your ceiling...

    Good manual caulk gun?

I have one of these, and really like it. They make tons of other models. https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0002Z0WZG/?tag=atomicindus08-20

    Educate me on pressure washers

Are you sure you're not mixing up orifice size with fan angle? You can absolutely size-up the orifices on commonly available gas pressure washers to get down to the 1000-1500psi you want for washing cars. Flow is king. And anything that plugs into a 15a 120v receptacle ain't got it.
