I'm interpreting the Koken ad as claiming this feature:

I missed that looking at my phone.

I've got a 1/4" T handle w/o the internal female and never use it. I generally grab a 1/4" spinner handle when I'm using a 1/4" ratchet, especially with the carb.

why not just get a small T-handle which is arguably more useful, easier on the hands, and easy to find?

These look nice! I might need to get these for bicycle wrenching which is all done by hand. I think my original 3/8 impacting wish was driven by the my use case of wanting to put an impacting air, ratchets, and stubby tools on the extension end so slightly different use case.

Have handles and an impacting wobble extension sitting in my garage as a project.

Seeing as how they don't have the little made in USA emblem I guess those are not. Too bad, if they were I'd be strongly tempted.
After the local MAC guy not getting back with me on ordering the set, I looked more online. It appears that one set is out of stock. However, checking out their FB page, I see a lot of hate for MAC. . . . . no dealer, nobody to warranty tools, no help from corp. and what takes the cake. . . "Man Ain't Coming" acronym.

I guess it doesn't look promising to being able to get a set.

Wanted to bring this back up as I started going on the hunt when another member posted about buying a Koken 3/8" spinner handle. Unfortunately, those don't have a female end in the handle. Like already mentioned, the hard handle Snap on was discontinued.

However, MAC does carry them in both 1/4" & 3/8". They are also in the current sales flyer. Now, just just to catch up to the tool truck.

On Thursday I called Mac up directly and ordered this set over the phone. I told them I was a DIYer and didn’t have access to a truck. It was easy and I didn’t have to catch a driver on his route.

Also, I recently had to have a Mac tool replaced under warranty and I mailed it in with a note and in a week the replacement tool was on my doorstep. Maybe I was lucky.

Glad to know... I was planning on calling Monday.

MAC's HQ is just over an hour south of me, along with the distribution center. It would be nice if a person could order/pay over phone and do a will call pick up.

Jegs does this with their warehouse and it's a really great option.

Mac offers locking extensions with a screwdriver handle.

New or used. Hard to find a set used. Can buy the set from Mac directly. Can be ordered on their site.

Just picked this 3/8” spinner up from McMaster. Clearly a Mayhew product, but not identified as such. Nice beefy handle, but no female drive the end for those who desire such.

Neither of my 3/8” spinner handles have female drives. I have a few 1/4” spinner handles with female drives, and I don’t think that I have used the feature more than twice ever.IMG_4944.jpeg

I've never owned a spinner handle with the socket on the back. And although I just ordered one for the heck of it while ordering some other koken spinner handles.

and I really like that particular snap-on handle In the picture.

It is really long. I wish that it was 2” shorter. I would like one with an 8” OAL.

Realizing one of my favorite tools to use are spinner handles, aka extensions with a built in screwdriver handle. Having trouble finding the perfect spinner handle in 3/8. Understand from some searches that VIM used to make some, but they appear to be discontinued. Can GJ help me spend some $$$ on tools again? Hopefully I am just incompetent at finding these for sale on the internet.

Requirements:

- Available to buy now
- Impact Rated
- Female in handle where a ratchet or ideally an m12 stubby can provide some more leverage/power

Bonus:

- Wobble or locking extension
- Available in multiple lengths
- Don't have to chase down a tool truck

This Grey Pneumatic 9506WH comes close, but is 1/4 inch unfortunately

Thanks for finding. Good to have another option. My Teng and Snap On are a little too long and don't fit everywhere. This seems like a good mid length option.

I've had this guy for 30 yrs. I use it on almost every job. I think it's no longer available, but maybe you can find one on eBay. The part no is F50CSA. I often use it with the stubby shown above it.

IMG_7794.jpeg

Also don't understand the need for this to be impact rated.

I semi recently bought the 1/4" version of this. I like that and use it, but somehow this is better. Maybe because the handle is fatter and easier to apply torque to.

Make your ideal driver. Drill + screwdriver handle + extension of choice = the perfect driver your looking for.
I've made a couple and they work great.

My question is why??? Impact?????

Indeed, reminds me of a Yard-o-Led pencil.

Hand thread. M12 stubby applied to the end.

I have handle blanks and a wobble extension sitting in the garage waiting to make the perfect extension/driver. Unfortunately its fallen lower on the priority list.

I really this CAT tools 1/4" drive spinner handle. P/N: 9S-1722. It is manufactured by Williams and can be driven with a 1/4" ratchet. Currently the driver by itself is $13 at my local CAT dealer. It came with my 1/4" socket set P/N: 213-4443.

If I owned that set, I'd be finding yoga mat material and making a tiny shadow box for that. It happens to me that I need a small set of sockets and little kits like this would be ideal. Really like to have something like this in my bobcat, but maybe 3/8" drive.

Speaking of 3/8th's how about these:

Teng Tools 3/8 Inch Drive 10 Inch Spinner Handle - M380015-C

You could get a case like this Proto J5299 and roll your own little toolkit.

Not that you can find them easily, but I recently found three Husky CB 100G spinners. 2nd hand market has them at $20 and $40.

Not sure how old they are, but made in USA.

Not sure if this will help or not:

When we talk about spinner handles, the real question is whether we actually want something to spin stuff with or not. A lot of the handles shown above look like screwdriver handles for spinning, i.e. low torque applications. If hardware is really a truly loose, why not just use your extension, which is the ultimate spinner handle.

Like all things, there is a balancing point between a handle that's easy to spin fast and doesn't permit great torque throughput, and a torquey handle that doesn't spin well (think: Snap on Instinct). I think an Instinct would be too clumsy for what I use this for. But some like an old clear craftsman handle or a Klein rubber cylinder, may not be enough torque. That's why I really like the Snap On hard handle shape. My recommendation would be to find something LIKE that, that your hand is comfortable both spinning one handed and applying torque with. I think this is easier said than done.

Are the interiors of those boxes open (empty?), or is there a diagonal metal divider like some of the old-school SK boxes?
