Anyone have a pic of an "eyebrow" framed above a single door on a 2 car wide garage?

I have a drive out basement with a single door on the left. Recently did some work and got to thinking how this would look. Can't find anything representative so far.

This is at my basement 5/0 door in a 6/0 R/O.

I welded the brackets from tube steel and painted them. I have detailed pics on my desktop. If I recall they are 2” tube steel 3/16 wall but don’t quote me (5 years ago).

Framer match drilled the foundation and installed the bolts thru the concrete wall then framed it. I think I used 1” bolts….

Thanks.

That looks balanced because it has 2 doors.

I'm worried if I do it with the one door it's gotta look empty on the opposite side. Or if I don't across the whole thing it will accentuate that I took a door out.

This is really close:

I need to get a pic of the house/shop door in the morning and see if @CN Spots can doctor it up with some nice faux stone and the eyebrow

Could you build it pretty much full width and extend it out maybe 5-6ft? Put a little table and 2 chairs where the door isn't. Kind of a mini patio.

I could, but this area isn't a good spot for a patio. I've thought about putting a window in, and had initially framed for one, but in 10yrs never installed one and it really doesn't go with the plain door.

Bedroom is right above this area so air sealing and insulation were #1 priority when I bought the place in 2016. After some renovations (interior stairs and utility room) the right side is too shallow to park a vehicle in so no reason for a door, so it was quick/dirty framed in and a solid insulated door was out in on the left. Recently poured a stem wall and cleaned up the sheathing to address some rot before windows and siding, which is prompting the eyebrow thought.

I need a better pic, I keep forgetting to snap one.

Looks like a great place to add an outdoor kitchen to the right of the garage door. Shed roof across the kitchen and over the garage door as well.

To the left of that pic is a walkout man door, and above that is a full length covered porch. Patio and BBQ is up that way, off the actual kitchen.

Kind of like this, but only a single door on the right:

I would add a over hang like the upper pic all the way across the wall, just to break up the wall so it isn't one huge monolith.

I need to think carefully about the window. I agree it would look more balanced with one, but I do have security concerns and I have to consider where the pipe for the pellet stove goes as there are clearance requirements

No problem! I needed something to do between print jobs anyway lol.

Need a break from printing lol? As soon as weather stabilizes finishing this off:

Can you put the stone texture where I show red, extend the siding where I have yellow and a small raised bed (retaining wall block) where I have blue?

Bonus points of you can do a crushed slate in the driveway/parking

My wife took a photo of our house today and loaded it into Chat GPT, telling it what she wanted it to do with colors and siding textures. I was amazed at how realistic the output was.

what about adding carriage style hardware and windows to the garage door? I know it was stated security concerns, but even the windows are sometimes painted on.
