I'm seeing stuff on YT about this mat but not seen in person, reviews seem to be good. Magnet density looks very good.

I have five of this style on the bottom of my cart lid…

I have been wanting to try something different to use in place of these and magnetic bowls.

I went in for something else and was very surprised to see a couple of them, so I grabbed them. Feel very nice/soft, lots of magnets and seem to hold things very well.

I've always been wary of the magnetic mats, even snap on's. Doesn't the fabric trap metal shavings and rust flakes and what not? I wouldn't really want that against paint.

I haven't used one - yet. But they appear to be faced with a smooth fake naugahideish material that wouldn't snag shavings, rather than a loose weave fabric.

Yes, just like magnetic dishes or pickup tools. But they can be wiped off.

You have to use common sense and be careful what you attach them to.

Hopefully HF has regular stock of them soon. They are incredibly handy.

My Snap On version can fold and has metal snaps to create a small magnetic bowl.

For some unknown reason, or maybe is the current Icon discount coupon but, these magnetic mats sell out as fast as they arrive in the store. :dunno:

I wonder if it's a copy of the SUNEX mat? https://autoplicity.com/18690784-su...000&utm_term=2334263186450461&utm_content=AG1

Out of curiosity I looked at availability, and you're right, they are essentially sold out in AZ. They appear to be a pretty good deal (even at full cost) compared to similar products on the market. I've been thinking about getting something to organize my tools while I'm working, and I kind of like the idea of one of these mats over the common silicone trays. For $20, I might give it a whack when the hype dies down.

I bought four the day they were released, excellent imho. Really well designed product at a great price ($20/$15 on sale). Perhaps the reason they sell out so quickly!

Easily holds a 20 pound brake rotor, I'm sure it would actually hold quite a bit more. But more importantly, for tools, just really works well.

I actually wanted to pick up another four, holiday gifts and whatever, but yeah, they are sold out everywhere near to me as well now.

You can see them reviewed in this video, starting at 2:10 if you are not patient.

It is not. The Sunnex mat is made of a "fabric, mesh" material, the ICON is a smooth material.

Can't find these in stores yet....I've always wanted one of those Craftsman one though.
I had five of the Craftsman ones on the bottom of my cart lid until a few minutes ago…

I have to find a place for them.

This came in handy for a little project this morning:

This is a good quality mat for $20. Magnets are strong, material seems rugged and the size is good for small/mid sized projects.

Anyone else surprised this has a lifetime warranty?

No reason to be. :dunno:

"lifetime warranty" is mostly just marketing fluff, for nearly everything sold that way.

Most of it will never come back. If it does replace if not available, give a store credit or something else. I still have some of the dreaded "Pittsburg Pro" impact sockets, probably close to 20 years.

FWIW I been watching my HF for "in stock" status for this item. tomorrow is supposed to be delivery day, I think.

My local three HFT's are sold out the same day these arrive. I monitor the website daily and these are like finding hen's teeth currently.

It's a good mat for $20 bucks. I used it twice since I bought it and I'm happy with it.

Will you never lose another 10mm? HELL NO, but it helps.
