Is there going to be an egress issue with just that little window?

No. That window is at ground level. The outside of the window is only about 6" off the ground. The house is on a slight slope so that side of the basement is exposed. Those windows lead onto a patio. This is not going to be the proper terms/definitions but the basement windows have levelers that you flip open and then the whole entire window pushes/falls out of the frame. I have wooden ladders built that will be permanently affixed to the walls under each window in the basement. So all the windows will be accessible for escape.

Window well with a ladder and clear cover works great for basement egress, and lets in a lot of natural light.

@Boostingaz - I assumed you had it figured out but was just curious as nothing was mentioned. Couldn't imagine you overlooking such a critical aspect of that room. I'll be interested in seeing the finished setup with the ladders mounted. (y)

Hey brother, wanted to drop in here and let you know I closed on that place I mentioned above. Demo starts next weekend I'll create a new thread called "The Bootheel Farm". I can't wait to spend a couple weeks in the fall weather and watch the leaves change with my 4-legged pals.

That's awesome. Congrats man! I'll be on the lookout to follow along 🍻

Got a little mowing done.

Then somehow snapped the PTO shaft clean in half and it whacked and broke a hydraulic fitting so I need to get to the repair shop and grab a fitting. The PTO shaft got welded and just need to finish up some grinding on it and paint it.
