Yeah, I also I feel bad for Lance that he missed all of the clearance sales on these a year ago. I only have the combo wrenches, which I did not need, but I bought them for the carry cases for my occasional mobile help visits. The reality is that yes, they're not the longest, but you could not make a nicer wrench anywhere IMO. The newer Craftsman stuff that PF has tested has done quite well, especially for the price point and the target market.

I don't see Craftsman going away anytime soon- plenty of stuff in my Ace and Lowes.
But he can still get great deals on overdrive stuff at Lowe's. Sadly, I think the $100 off on the big set is gone l.

I really could have used this set today to get this tiny little T-20 TORX screw out of the leaking oil tube on my EcoDiesel. My 1/4" TORX socket hit the AC suction line. I guess I shoulda ordered this first. When I first saw it I thought "I'll never need that"
MAN!

That's a nice set to have. I bought one, but I wish I had snagged at least a couple so I would have them in both locations.

Lowe's still sells them for delivery. Not at give away prices, but reasonable. $55

@LanceMc you are putting significant effort into completing this set. What are you still missing?

You just indicated the long flex ratchets.

I assume the larger screwdriver set...

What else?

Anyone tried to swap V series flex heads heads or handles with a proto precision 90? They both have a similar fork design.

I recall someone talking about that in the 'other' V-Series thread.

I guess when you have a big box you have to buy more tools.

Love this symmetrical design of your build Lance, keep it going.

I see some “Overdrive” stuff made it in there too…I don’t mind it.

We should start a list of “rare” V-Series tools…

Thank you!
Yeah the OD stuff is nice and I like the 6 point box ends.

As far as rare -
I don’t know what is rare for real and what is real on GJ.

I didn’t see it in your new toolbox pics, and if it wasn’t originally on your list of V-series tools to acquire, I’d strongly recommend the reversible ratcheting wrench sets.

CMMT87375V for the metric set.
CMMT87350V for the SAE.

They have a great feel, in my opinion. The ratchet mechanism is smooth with not a lot of back drag. I liked them so much, I turned to FACOM (467 series) to fill in some sizes the Craftsman set excludes. The FACOM wrenches have a few differences, like a circlip on the ratchet end, and an anti-slip profile on the open end.

As I said earlier?, I only have the 12-point V combo wrenches in standard and metric, but I am totally looking forward to Lance completing his collection of the entire V line of tools- mainly because I have no idea what the product line consisted of :ROFLMAO:

Thanks for the suggestion! I have these on my short list. They are in my eBay cart right now

You can search for "V-Series" on the Craftsman website and it shows 50 different items.
Stay tuned!

Yes Lance….follow the ways of ways of the GJ members…you must buy these all…all of them. Pay no attention to your bank account…those fools at the Bank know nothing about the power of the dark side...I mean....the V-Series...

Well, I caved in to the DARK side and ordered them from eBay.
Imagine my surprise when I got the shipping notice and the seller is listed as-

blackanddecker
100 Passmore Ln
Jackson, Tennessee 38305-6925
United States

UPS has the item in Middletown, PA so I suppose they have a warehouse there?

Interesting, to me at least, that SBD is still selling brand new V-Series tools on eBay

Damnit, I know that. But it's not the same thing to look at stock pics on their website! :ROFLMAO: I want to see the entire V-series collection in one GJ member's toolbox. :ROFLMAO:

Ok, JK, but I'm rooting for you to complete the collection. As I said, I have only the metric and inch combo wrenches. But I have so many tools that I totally didn't need those. But they are just the most glorious wrenches!
