This looks like it might be a good source of deals over the coming days.

Last Brand Standing - Rules & Deals Info

The Last Brand Standing Bracket Challenge is a thrilling competition where 32 top brands face off in a series of head-to-head matchups. Each brand selects 5 of their best products for each round, and the brand that sells the most quantity wins and advances to the next round. You get to join the action by predicting the winners! Submit your bracket before the event begins, and earn points for every correct prediction. Compete against others for the chance to win incredible prizes, including gift cards and more!

Bracket submissions have already ended (March 8), but now you can just scoop up the deals each day when a new bracket is released.

Today is the first day of LIVE DEALS. Some of them are already sold out. It looks like these are legitimately steep discounts. Go ahead and post which deals catch your eye for the rest of us to consider.

Good deals that caught my eye and have not sold out yet today:

This 2-pack of Diablo blades is $10. Amazon sells each blade separately for $25.

This 2-pack of DeWalt construction jacks is $119

Use promo code TOOLGUYD for an additional $10 off a minimum order of $79. Shipping is free over $200.

Lots of deals in there - thanks for sharing.

I've only ordered from Acme Tools once before but it was a good experience and I'd buy there again.

Am I too late? Did I miss them all? When I click on the "Live Deals" link at the top I see nothing.
Here's the schedule. Round 1 deals were yesterday only. The brand that sold the most from each of the head-to-head competitions yesterday will advance to Round 2, and so on.

Acme really gamifying their site

Head to head is kinda fun, they also have a trading cards / points thing that feels geared towards children?

Head to Head will likely yield very limited quantity super deals this week

Same.

And not super clear on details

Yesterday they had a whole page of deals, I bet they are compiling the results for the next round, whenever that is?

What I think is really interesting about this promo is that:

Each brand selects 5 of their best products for each round, and the brand that sells the most quantity wins and advances to the next round.

It sounds like Acme has placed the burden on each brand to offer hot deals (rather than Acme choosing which kind of discounts to offer), and then incentivized each brand to actually make the deals they offer HOT by making the brands compete with each other.

There were legitimate "black friday" style deals during the first round. I'm curious to see what comes up during the next round.

I would have been interested in making a bracket, oh well maybe next year. Pretty clever, I'm surprised they got that many brands to shell out good deals, but ig they probably have a decent amount of pull.

Looked like they put some effort into it too. Would have been nice to have seen some advertisement prior to the day it started

I guess they have run this "March Madness" promo for several years now, but this is the first I've heard of it (and I'm a tool and deal nerd).

This is a pretty fun and useful promo IMO, and I'll start paying attention now that I now it exists.

They released the first round of results today:

Poor Worx :ROFLMAO:

What I find interesting about the "winners" is that they are measured objectively by how many people bought the deals offered by each brand. So, the results are not a "popularity contest" that just ranks different brands by votes or how much people like them, but rather reflect how good the deals offered by each brand were as measured by people voting with their wallets. I think ACME deserves major credit for thinking this up and putting in what I assume is a lot of effort to pull it off!

Acme is a stand up company, I shop at their Des Moines store every chance I get. They may be waiting on stock to come in or it's direct shipping from the manufacturer or distributor, so may be slow to ship but no doubts it will arrive

I’m not seeing it. Does anyone actually run Metabo cordless tools?
I’ve been running Hitachi for a while. Thought their ergo s were better than Team Yellow or Red

Added bonus of not having them walk away/somebody grabbing it by mistake

New day of deals: Fein, Makita, Nebo, Craftsman

Best deal IMO: Fein 18V oscillating multitool kit for $95. Made in Germany and uses Bosch (ampshare) batteries.

Thanks! Was trying to not get another battery platform but for the price that multi tool was too good to pass on. Would have gotten a couple 18v Makita routers as that was a stellar deal but I was too slow

West Weld on IG is a big fan of Fein(and a "partner" which means is compensated) and has some nice content on the vise as well. I don't need the grinder but will probably add the vise to the garage in the future

I snagged one from Zoro 2 years ago for $280 with a coupon. Retail at the time was $349. Fast forward...

This screenshot is right now with a coupon that works on it at Zoro. Lowes and Home Depot are selling it for $449.95 but they no longer allow using coupons on sale items. Might be able to get the 10% discount military if you qualify. Home Deport is not calling it a sale but a price drop so a coupon should work and probably the 10% discount military but its not in stock but ships so ymmv.

Might be worth doing the Acme deal and flipping the grinder. Tools don't seem to get cheaper, just sayin' ;)

I haven't seen much of interest since the construction jacks on the first day; unfortunately they haven't even shipped yet.
