Finished the new covers on the Red Queen's™ driver seat. Had a few hiccups, but overall happy.

First was stabbing my L index finger with a screwdriver removing the clips from the front lower frame. Ugh.

After I took care of the bleeding it was pretty straightforward until I ran out of hog rings. They didn't include enough for 1 seat even though we bought covers for both fronts. No biggie these things happen. Jungle to the rescue. The new rings didn't show up until last evening, and by then I was done garaging for the day so continued on this morning. Got the driver's seat buttoned up, and reistalled around noon:

My girl is happy which makes me happy. Will tackle the passenger side, and center console next weekend. Hat tip to @zmotorsports for the source for the new covers.

Very nice. Glad the source worked out for you.

Snuck out for a little tinkering after all, got the temp sensor in, both oil fill caps on (who knew a 92 & 93 magnum engine had oil fill on both side) and got the power brake booster hose back in the booster, found some better manifolds and power steering pump mounting bracket in the barn now to get them to the blaster.

Been suspecting a boost leak on my ‘96 Ram for a while as it’s been a bit smoky, laggy, and had poor fuel economy, but all my boots and clamps were tight so I wasn’t sure. Then on Saturday I pulled it in the shop to mess with some wiring and figured I’d pressure test it finally since I had time.
Sure enough, the intercooler has sprung a bit of a leak, probably from corrosion (and it may have seen upwards of 55 psi at times in the past), so I began asking friends for leads on a spare.
No luck there, but FBM miraculously turned up a local listing for a used OEM cooler for $150 and I picked that up. Now I just need to pressure test it before I put it in.

Cut a piece of pegboard to fit the back of the bench and then thought better of it.

Changed the spark plugs on my ‘23 Tundra, fortunately for me, there is a very good utube tutorial on this.

I didn’t take a lot of pics but as you would expect, access is non existent without moving/removing a bunch of stuff.

They’re under there somewhere.

I expected more electrode erosion, not bad actually.

Went to the local ACE to pick up some hardware for round-the-house projects, and find it is closing. Not too surprised as it is in a supermarket, and never seemed to have much business. But it was close to me, so now I have to go 15 miles out of my way, or something like that. This is my one annoyance in this little town, no good hardware store!

Yeah it’s been good to me so far, I’ve only put a little over 100k kilometres on it myself, but it’s already at well over 700k so we’ll see.
PO ran the first engine out of oil and put the current one in so it’s got about half the mileage the truck does though.

Anyway, this afternoon I realized I needed to use the boots off the current intercooler to pressure test the new one, so I started disassembly after work.
Wow, I forgot just how much has to come apart to get the cooling stack out of this thing! Also discovered I’m missing one of the six little bolts for the fan pulley, I must have forgotten to reinstall it last time I had the fan off.

Installed the newest rubber olives on the Ford tractor gas line and tested. Still got a slow leak somewhere. Do to location cannot see it or get a hand in to find the problem location. Probably invest in a small down hole camera so I can see exactly which seal is screwing up. Old and new in images, more head scratching.

Longer Burg rides, though.

On Friday, I had just walked into the house garage after being in the shop when I heard a terrible crashing sound of wood on steel. Walk back to the shop to find a tree tipped over onto the roof. Go inside the shop to see daylight peeking through the roof...Great, now I need to to patch it before we get 3ft of snow over the weekend. It's 4:30, we're supposed to be meeting up with some friends at 5pm for trivia, and now I have to patch my roof, and my ladder is at my dads. Wet shoes and a steel roof don't go well together, and crawling on a roof 18ft off the ground by yourself without a spotter or runner is a bit sketchy. But got it patched with some patch tape, will replace the damaged panel this spring.

so i am happily (maybe not that happily) sitting here in my office working when my son comes down and says the shower wont turn off. So now i have a project to do today. Ugh!

So its not the valve, so that's good maybe. Its the handle. It has a plastic insert, held in by 1 screw. You think I can buy that one part? Nope! New handle ordered. I might go epoxy it together after work for temp use.

EDIT: a 5/8" wrench has been substituted for a handle. Very mancave-ish

Might I suggest going back to ask about buying out the complete or parts of the hardware section ? Have your "own hardware" store.

It was all gone when I swung by. Also, my shop is so small (see my signature) that I would never have room for 1/100th of it.
Well, doggone. You said closing, I thought there might just be a chance to get in on a good deal. We'll probably see a thread in the near future of a fellow member talking about buying out his local ACE store that was closing down.

I got the first wall of the compressor enclosure up today:

I have a lot left to do. I've been working on this in the least efficient manner possible: stealing an hour or so whenever I can. It means half my time is spent getting tools and materials out and putting them back away.

It's 70F outside! I gotta get moving on tree pruning and ****....
