A lot of companies are pulling this stunt... My brake spring pliers are KD, and probably nearly twice as old as I am.

Reminds me of a Urrea wrench I bought--compared to China, I didn't mind Mexico, and the prices are very modest on the entire line.

Yet, it was the other way around. The wrench itself said "MEXICO", but the hanger had "Made in Mexico" covered up by a "TAIWAN" sticker.

Switched to importing the pliers, but still had a bunch of packaging left over?

Since drum brakes are still very popular, maybe they just got greedy to make bank, on the millions of brake pliers, they sell. :dunno:

Let's keep bashing them over "COO" maybe they'll close up shop like many others.

The packaging was made in the USA.

Pliers were made in Taiwan.

I think they can make a fine tool in Taiwan. Spelling "Clarinda" correctly, not so much. ;)
Yep!

Years ago (circa 2010) I needed a defrost control for a heat pump, and went to the warehouse to get one. I said I preferred a USA made one, to which the counter guy said, "They're all foreign". I pulled one off the shelf, and it said "Made in USA" bright as day. He peeled it open and pulled out the computer board control, and on it it said made somewhere overseas. To which he said, "The packaging is American - the part is foreign". :shocking:
