Amazon double-delivered today... Woohoo!

I liked the new Tekton German made (by Witte) Torx drivers I recently picked up so much I decided to by more. Their Phillips set, P0, P1, P2, P3.

It's currently on sale on Amazon for 20% off, $24. Really liking the new Tekton screwdriver line. I have to say I think I might like them even more than my beloved Wera's? Early days, we shall see.

Boulder County, Colorado. USA.

Surprising. What store is it? I did not think there were hardly any stores stocking quality lines of hand tools off the shelf in the USA outside of some transient carries.

[Edit] Sorry, saw later post that was "Jax" in Boulder, CO. Boulder is a good town for the mountain proximity and rock climbing. But man, it is an expensive place to live for housing.

Jax. They also have a wall of Tekton (for some time now)

Tekton used to be sold in Meyer stores and they had a pretty good stock. That was a shame when it stopped. It is too bad Tekton tools do not get distributed in some of the big box hardware stores like Menards, Lowes, or Home Depot, or even Ace. It would be better than most of the stuff in those stores at present.

Looking for a box for this set now.
Harry J. Epstein HAD some tiny boxes, but it appears they've sold out. Waiting for a call back @ 08:32 PDT.
In the process of searching "metal box", came across this gem they're currently offering.
Search "Metal box" on ebay - but it's needle-in-a-haystack stuff - you will need to exclude "jewelry", "wrench", and a few other keywords.
It's currently on sale on Amazon for 20% off, $24.
link?
How heavy is that spinner handle?
It's shown as being made of solid aluminum.
Waiting for notification from Tekton on availability.
@AndreaW added one to her little "custom bit kit"

The majority of my Tekton was impulse purchases from when I saw something on sale while I was grocery shopping at Meijer.

Ha! I remember when I moved to Michigan from Cali in 2014 and noticed the Tekton stuff in the hardware section in Meijer. I looked some of the stuff over since I was not familiar with the brand and was very shocked how good the stuff looked to be at a surprisingly low price point and even included USA screwdrivers, pliers, etc. Definitely not the usual for a big box general store. But sadly, that only lasted a few years after that and it was replaced with the usual Stanley outsourced lowest quality Asian production type junk. But the experience induced me to check out their online orders and online feedback and I bought some stuff (flex ratchet and extensions there: both turned out to be quite good for the $). They have a really good web site and pretty good reviews across the board from quality to easy of warranty.

Happy Birthday!! How heavy is that spinner handle?

Thanks for reaching out. The weight on that spinner handle is 0.31lbs.
I can verify the 0.31 lbs. value... it weighed 4.95 oz. on my kitchen scale.

For comparison, I recently purchased the 3/8" spinner handle by Tone (with a 6" or so shaft, plastic handle, and 3/8" Fe drive on the top of the handle). It weighs 7.35 oz. (0.46 lbs.).

Both have a good heft to them. One possible drawback to the Tekton with a Tekton extension is there's a bit of wobble at the connections.

Were you thinking about one of the small Toyo boxes? I did buy one on an Epstein's Day spree. I'll check it out.

By the way, the box you did link to is, indeed, a gem. Tempting. Wondering what the shipping would be.

No... not the "toyo" boxes... I ordered a mess of those last year but I cannot figure out why.
They had some small, 6-inch-long red-enameled steel boxes (suitable for a 1/4" drive set) for $10 bucks a pop.
I should have ordered more.
Small boxes are rather difficult to find for 1/4" drive sets - usually bent/broken or latches/hinges are buggered up.

I really like my Wiha Extra Heavy Duty screwdriver set, but wanted to get the big-boy to go along with the set I had. 12.0 x 200mm.

Along side my Tsunoda PL-150 slip joints for comparison.

Recently moved to the Icon as my workhorse knife because it has the same warranty as hand tools. If I damage it by accident (mostly from drops) or the clip bends, I can just exchange it instead of having to send it off to the manufacturer.

Definitely going to put that Wiha on order since my old SK got retired to the collection box after having to re-buy it after it was loaned out and then sold...

The majority of my Tekton was impulse purchases from when I saw something on sale while I was grocery shopping at Meijer.

Fairly good chunk of mine are from Rural King. In fact, I decided to just buy one of everything in High Torque one day when I realized I only had like two random Torx screwdrivers and a random mix of mismatched stuff from junk to Snap-On.
