"I'm looking for the Craftsman coating, not the Snap-On." Well put...

We offer a very budget friendly 100% solids multi-purpose epoxy product that has become quite popular with our industrial coatings applicators who don't need the bomb proof performance (or cost) provided by our Wolverine Coatings products. Our IntegraCoat MPE runs $345.80 per 3gal kit and we recommend max 300sf per 3gal. Degrease, scuff with a Diamabrush, and apply. For non-sealed new concrete simply etch and apply.

Racedeck it all
Ditto! If your selling your house install racedeck and your garage will look awesome without all the fuss of epoxy. Then when you list the house, put the "garage flooring" as an exclusion similar to what people do with washers, dryers, or anything else you want to take to the new house. You will then be able to use the racedeck in your negotiations. You can take the racedeck with you to your next home or include it in your selling price.
Believe me it works ... ;) . When we sold our house with racedeck new owner was late to the closing because he wouldn't leave his new garage.

Alright, we have a winner. After talking to FJ4FUN a few times, the product he listed looks to be about perfect for me. Much better than the Home Depot stuff, but not as high end as I'd be putting in a place that would be my workshop. So I can not worry about selling my house with a ticking time bomb, I can say I put in a commercial grade system, etc. A bit over what I wanted to spend, but they had an option that was close enough that I'll be good with it.

Since it is a pretty new product to the market, I'll do my best to document the process, and put up something in a separate thread.

Thanks everyone for the feedback!

Clean it as best as you can.
It's doubtful you'll add value with a hastily applied coating, which will fail in short order

Yeah. I went through 5 quarts of Chomp. Was disappointed. The Greased Lightning referenced earlier was the trick. Feel very good about the floor now.

Renting a diamond prep tool this afternoon. Will epoxy next week. Have done 2 floors befire, but others were both new construction.

Good idea epoxying the floor. Even if the person buying the house isn't a DIYer/car guy, it makes the garage present much better. Most people store **** in their garage so it doesn't need to be the most durable thing in the world.

I put down some cheapy Rustoleum epoxy for my 1 car garage before I sold my last house. We had great feedback on potential buys on how nice the garage looked.

Throw a link to your new thread about the new flooring here. I’d like to see your thoughts.

Go to the local car club and borrow a few cars that you could stage in the garage as works in progress.

Make sure they cover up the stains.

Goal of a house sale is to get people thinking about what they could possibly do in the house.

Real Estate Agents know they have a sale when potential buyers start talking about “making it their own”.
