Needed a big screwdriver I could put a wrench on for a seized 1/0 lug with a flat head screw. Have them at home but not on the work truck. Ran out and got a Husky and USA made Milwaukee at the orange store down the street. It was all for naught as the lug simply ripped out the aluminum threads before it came loose. The Milwaukee screw driver is actually pretty nice.

I really like the USA made Milwaukee screwdrivers. They look very similar to the not USA made but they feel different to me. Close enough I might buy some in a pinch, but I bought a full set (of which I am aware) of the USA made drivers.

Went to HJE for the handle to repair a machinists hammer with bad handle and a nail for a wedge.

Picked up one of the vessel tang thru screwdrivers...man I love the feel of handle but the heft and solid feel was the clincher. Bought the set minus the #4 Phillips as I have a few unused #4s.

Also picked a new to me Craftsman Commerical block grinder for $20.

Ya’ll got me onto buying CAT stuff nowadays.

Damn this is amazing deal for rebranded SO stuff:

Love the CAT sockets and plier set... I bought a bunch as well, also some CAT/SO impacts...

Just a reminder, the Cat "SHOPTOOL20" 20% off all tools deal says it ends March 31. No idea if they are going to extend it, but if you want some, might be time to pull the trigger...

I went over some of the cat stuff I picked up here:

Lunch time shopping at Lidl. €14.99 each.
3 angle die grinders and a cut off tool.

I was in Lidl last night and saw they had a cordless rotary hammer for $39 less the batteries. That is insanely cheap for a rotary hammer. You can't even come close to buying a corded rotary hammer for that price. Curious about the quality but for a homeowner it's probably good enough.

Started reloading. Enjoyable and relaxing plus for me at 500 rounds the equipment is paid for. That won't take long as I'm well on my way. FYI for me savings is a little over 50% per round. I shoot match grade. At present I'm doing 6.5 mm Remington Magnum (Ammo no longer available) and 6 mm Creedmoor. Both custom rifles.

Reloading is straightforward. Plenty of help out there. Just verify they are qualified to give advice. Mine comes from a Precision Rifle Series (PRS) competitive shooter who reloads.

You definitely don't want any Dunning - Kruger "experts" help here.

Because of your video's and others posts on here, I'm in CAT tools heavy suddenly, with a ton more stuff on the way over the next few days. It's almost unbelievable how much cheaper it is for the same stuff. I ordered impacts, impact uni's and some other 1/2" drive stuff.

You enabling, son of a *****... :ROFLMAO:

Thank you!

Instead of just measuring cartridge overall length off the meplat as shown (COAL), I'd suggest measuring off the ogive using a comparator (I use the Hornady). You'll get much more consistent bullet jump that way, which should give better accuracy.

Someone posted a link to the Duratech thin wrenches, which led me to these stubby flex head ratcheting wrenches. I had them in my Amazon cart, they went on sale, and I snagged them in Metric and SAE. I needed the 13mm one for the oil pump job on my Mercury outboard. Now I have the tool for a job I'll never do again.

^ Looks like SPEEDWOX might well be the outfit that's cranking out the no-name, generic, super-cheap "Electrical Terminal Pliers".
Thanks for that.

NO, not always! Check first.
I bought a "Caterpillar" branded 1/4" drive ratchet from an ebay seller who said "doesn't work".
For $8 bucks, I figured I'd take a chance.
Disassembled, lubed, reassembled - worked like a charm.
My buddy added it to his Tekton kit.
Cat ratchets that I've seen are Williams low tooth count (but look much like snapon) and their newer ones are Stahlwille rebrands... They used to offer a actual Snap-On ratchet, 3/8" flex, wasn't even rebranded it actually said snap on, but it has been removed from their catalog and website.

I tried using the coupon but it seems like it’s limited to Ohio CAT dealers. Is there a way to redeem the coupon at other dealers?

Received my Stahlwille locking and wobble extensions from Mister Worker today. I can retire my Mastercraft ones other than the 20" as Stahlwille doesn't make long ones except for a 18" 3/8 but the price is more than double.
Really like the pushbutton locking extensions, I have some cheapo Craftsman ones in 1/4" and prefer them to the collar style. Might have to consider the Stahlwilles for the future as an upgrade!

they are much much nicer. I bought all the craftsman ones as well because the price was so low. But I immediately regret the purchase. I didnt imagine there could be much difference but there really is.

The Craftsman ones have been working well for me in 1/4". They're slender, they don't drop sockets, and they seem to fit pretty well without too much slop (mainly with Snap On sockets/ratchets). I don't think they'd do so hot with a lot of torque so that's been part of why I'm interested in something different or nicer. Did yours have issues?

I used this in my shop today and realized I don't think I had mentioned it here. Bought a floor squeegee. Went to the big box hardware store and was tickled to find three levels of seriousness/strength involved. The $16ish Libman looked too wimpy, the most expensive one looked more sturdy than I'll be needing, and Rubbermaid sold the mid-grade one at $30.50ish.

Water on the floor? Away wi' ye! Out the garage door! (And/or, spread thin enough to evaporate soon.)

I learned my lesson with the 213-1983s. I had assumed they were just 6" Snap-On since the 6V-6192 (and most other pliers in the catalog) were Snap-On.

They're basically black Channellock 526s at double the price and black grips.

Functionally no complaints, haven't used them much, but I didn't have any concerns in that regard. The buttons are a little sticky and protrude very far. Don't feel as smooth to push in. Its just a refinement thing really. Having already had some Stahlwille ones, I just noticed a contrast in that. I suppose for many people, the difference is probably negligible. They just "feel" better lmao, for whatever thats worth.

An overlooked but very useful tool to have around. For me, especially in winter when slush build-up drops from the wheel wells onto the floor.

MAC truck Wednesday! Before RBRT, there was Precision Torque. Our dealer still has a few sets left on the truck, and priced cheaper than RBRT. Picked up a 1/4” metric set, 5 - 15mm w/ aluminum rail. I have some small, rusty bolts on the Z28 and these should come in handy. IMG_6763.jpegIMG_6764.jpeg
