Red cedar bench wood filler

Top of bench is 1/2 log was used inside now wife wants it outside under a covered porch. Dug out most of the soft wood. Didn't know if there's a filler or the best way to repair.IMG_20260405_111434321.jpgIMG_20260405_111439128.jpg

If you aren't going to stain/preservative, try using a belt sander to make saw dust from a scrap (or maybe from underside). Mix saw dust with outdoor wood glue to make a paste. Fill, let dry, sand.

Try a sample underneath first.

Either of those will work. You could also mix some ground rock, turquoise, etc, or possibly coloring,with the epoxy to fill the larger holes.
