I thought it was just another generic Petersen or Pathfinder until I got to the photo of the back.
Looks like you scored quite a deal on it.
And I didn't pay the asking price!

Just gotta make a bracket for it and run a wire from the trailer plug (I am not planning on towing a trailer with a Vanagon) to the rear hatch--that may be easier said than done.

Here's a vintage Strook Motorobe. It was tucked away in a cedar chest at my dad's place. Its big- I didn't measure it but its laid out on a king-size bed. The construction is a bit coarse, either wool or possibly horsehair.
Its another undiscovered treasure that I never saw growing up and unfortunately don't have any idea who owned it or how old it is. Google dates it to early 20th century.
Its came home with us even tho the Mrs hates the fabric and the pattern.

While looking for something else, I stumbled on this. Not really set up for my car but hey for $5 and a little info about my A, I could not pass it up.

I figure Motor Oil's pretty closely related to Automobiles and their Paraphernalia.

Motolube Motor Oil Co. Advertising Screwdriver made by J.L Sommer Mfg. Co. Established 1876, Newark New Jersey

According to the Miami News of January 11, 1925, “ John L. Sommer . . . “has made more presents than perhaps any man in the world”, so says Don Thorton in Just For Openers, January-December 2025, a publication of “The International Correspondence of Corkscrew Addicts”(ICCA) This Screwdriver is one of his many advertising successes. The PDF; https://www.just-for-openers.org/2025-Openers-14.pdf

After cleaning the Handle, I found a PAT date that was wrong (1-4-19 that might have been 11-4-19), but DATAMP helped me find my way to Design Patent D54,142 for a “DESIGN FOR A HANDLE FOR A SCREW-DRIVER, OR SIMILAR ARTICLE”; Applied: Jan. 12, 1917 and Granted: Nov. 04, 1919.

That Handle became an advertising space for a myriad of entities as a search on ebay and elsewhere will show. It’s a functional little Screwdriver; slightly bent, but quite sturdy. The Screwdriver has outlived the Advertiser.
