I bought a Dewalt flexvolt trimmer from the big Zoro dewalt sale and after unboxing it with my son, he wanted to try it out. Here was what I learned with this tool. Dewalt flexvolt batteries fit 20v tools, but the 20v batteries dont fit flexvolt tools. So I had a brand new tool but no way to use it. Did some quick looking around and got a 2 pack and charger which arrived last night. Going to turn the boy loose with it tonight and see how he does.

I made a good bit of side income from buying those and getting them fixed by Toyota, then selling. More than a few people - I would tell them that Toyota would fix the 3.0 head gaskets for free and they didn't believe me. Some dealers would argue until I showed up with Campaign docs. LOL.I had a couple customers working at the local Toyota dealership that almost made enough loot doing head gaskets back then to retire early! I seem to remember that they could do 2 a day if they really humped. And you didn’t have to be the original owner to get that repair done for free.

Dewalt string trimmer by jon72vega, on FlickrI almost went with one of the 20v versions but was afraid it wouldnt quite have the power I need for the amount of property I have. Im not sure how the battery life will be on the flexvolt, but I was very happy with the variable speed trigger, it also has a high and low setting on it, not sure yet if thats speed or power? But on low its been great. My poor Stihl is a smoking mess, I think it might be time for a piston and rings after 16 years of heavy use. That trimmer has been the only outdoor power tool I have owned that has put up with being worked like a mine mule and just started to have some issues last year. I hope this will be a worthy replacement.I have the DeWalt 20 volt version, and agree it does very well.

I ground it down and found one more small crack. Got that welded up and back into the car. Jeff is finishing it now so hopefully its nice and quiet.

And I’m willing to bet that when the topic of pay came up for the yard work, you probably heard the same thing I heard….. “You like to eat, right?!”!!!These new battery operated trimmers have come a long way I've got the Milwaukee one that also has the hedge trimmer and pole saw attachments its great. I imagine your dewalt one is similar.
Looks like your son is going a great job on the yard work, I remember my dad got me doing the lawn mowing and weedwhacking at about 8 years old!
I may need to grab a few more in that case!nice infusion skills. Those 50mls are hard to come by. Even when I was still in the field it was like a white whale. My guess is that ppl would take them and use them to inject butter into their turkey. I can't remember the last time I used one of those.

you think the piece of plastic was the broken tab you found?
I had an issue similar to yours but with a dishwasher. the label washed off a jar in the dishwasher and it jammed the cutter up in the drain line. I had to basically disassemble it completely to get to the label and remove it. All was good after removing the jam!

Light pressure and letting the line do the work was the key here. Thanks for the info!Nice thread you got going. Only on page 7 but doing my best to catch up.
For parts and part numbers of parts for your Acty (or any Japanese vehicle) have a look at the following website. I used them for my Nissan Patrol and now for my Mitsubishi Pajero/Shogun.

Yoshiparts is also good for Japanese parts, but they don’t do the Acty.

awesome older Cherokee/ wagoneer. I had a 1975 2 door that the best part of it was the grille. Lots of different stuff there, always fun to run into my clients and friends I havent seen in awhile.

fishing line to cut that big f250 badge off and then a quick rinse. Just need to hit the pinstripe areas with a scuff pad and rubbing alcohol to get it perfectly smooth and I will be one step closer to wrappingit. Next I pulled the mower out and started on the yard while waiting for my buddy and his son to come by for the Jeep. I sprayed all the pollen off the jeep and dropped the top for him. I showed him how to remove the doors and how to resecure the top.
