I bought this 1978 1/2 ratchet and am looking for a nice 1/4 inch companion for it. What’s your Snap On pick from that era?

I like the TM711 (1967-1987). It was the junk drawer ratchet of my childhood. My mom still has one in her junk drawer. It is the perfect form factor for a 1/4” ratchet.

I bought one for myself at some point at an estate sale. IMG_5822.jpegIMG_5823.jpeg

TM711 bought it off the truck about 1984. I never really liked it or used it much with only about 24 teeth. It would be great if it had more teeth.

Mine has 30 teeth. My mother’s has less. I want to say that a rebuild kit brought them up to 30.

Experts on this site will know for sure.

Gotta be honest… my old faithful Par-X set. All my father used growing up and the only set in my box at work. 👍IMG_5535.jpeg
That cardboard box is in pretty good shape for how long it has been around.

Top of box gets flipped to be the bottom and it’s been hanging out in the Kennedy 520 since new. I had my Snap-On guy give it a tune up a few years back, thought I’d lost it. 😲 Just needed a clean & lube, he said they rarely die…👍👍
