Working on a hitch, was hoping it would fit in that tank I just restored, no luck so am using a kiddie pool. Not sure how long to let it soak before flipping over. Am using Rust911. That is about 12 gallons of solution. That's about $48 in solution. If this process depletes the solution, then this is not going to be cost effective.

My guess is that will use up about 1/3 - 1/2 of the solutions effectiveness.

Consider if you took that to a sand-blaster they'd probably charge you $50, so I don't think you're out too much either way.

Those things work really well as punch and chisel holders! Useless for nuts and bolts...

I used the apple cider vinegar to soak the rust off a snow chain that I found buried in a yard. It did a great job on the dirt and rust, but you need a way to dry it afterwards or you get a fine surface rust. The chain had been in the soil for years and was badly pitted, but is clean enough to use to weld a dinosaur.

Rubbing aluminum foil on rusted steal will remove the rust.
