I have several corded power tools that I inherited from my dad. My grown sons have all gone cordless. I have gone cordless for the most part. I am trying to decide how to best liquidate the unneeded tools. Some pictures attached. 00B4ED06-EA00-4B09-86FA-DC6A3BE831E3.jpg4C49F2AF-AE65-4F0D-8270-5E56D46B8D3C.jpg20250525_024614752_iOS.jpg20250525_024641707_iOS.jpg20250525_024703019_iOS.jpg

It doesn’t cost anything to list them in the GJ classifieds. Another GJ member might be looking for one of those and be willing to pay shipping.

These are going to be worth whatever someone is willing to pay for them--there's not much of a market for them. They're really cool, they're absurdly high quality, but they're also worthless in terms of monetary value. They're heavy and big, so they're expensive to ship. It's best to probably just donate them and let people like me who are sick in the head find them, take them home, restore them as a labor of love, and then never use them because the modern tools we already have are safer and just work way better.

list them on ebay or donate them to Habitat
Ditto-ing on Habitat, with a note that if you have a local tool library they may take donations. (And either a Habitat or a tool library in your area could probably give you a good idea of what they might go for.)

Wow! That Shopmate drill top right is my favourite.
God knows there's plenty of metal cased tools at the ReStore here, although there's probably way less cool ones than not.

My thinking on this as an art display is to use acrylic boxes and then perhaps hang them from strong fishing line inside. Maybe some backlighting. A useless but interesting project.

Spied an old green case at the Flea Market today.
Lookie here......a cute little Black & Decker Jig Saw!
A real small one

Nice shape
Don't need it, but I just couldn't lay off

I tried to walk away.....but the seller was determined and made me an offer that I couldn't refuse :ROFLMAO:

I didn't realize Black & Decker made anything this heavy duty.
The name plate says 'Sander'. Very huge and heavy.
I must find a guard that I can adapt to this monster.

Dropped-off at H for H in Ft. Lauderdale. Looks like it would take a polish pretty-well. A tool store in Ft. Lauderdale just north of FLL has a top-shelf by the cash register filled with restored corded tools by B & D, Porter-Cable, and other vintage manufacturers.

I love my vintage corded power tools!

Here's a pair of ShopCraft drills that are freaking nice to use and durable, and my FIL's Dunlap 1/4" drill. They don't make 'em like this anymore!
